I haven't biked in like 20 years. I just want something to ride lightly. This is 200 CAD lightly used. Or Best offer.

New bikes in Walmart are going for like 600 with no shocks and hard seats. What's everyones opinion? I'm hoping Reddit can get back to me in time.

Is there anything I should know it being aluminum or will it be great for me?

  1. Well, thing is about 15yo, has 26 wheels and suspension fork is probably just for show. I’d honestly offer no more than a 100.

The frame material is irrelevant. It looks to be in ok condition though, but you really need to take it for a ride and make sure the size fits you. 200 cad is in very cheap bike territory, so if you get anything that’s even just ok then you’ve done well out of it. Check the tyres for cracking, and the rear gears/derailleur for any bends. Some front suspension can be locked for road use, so if the suspension doesn’t work properly due to age you can lock it solid as it’s of limited use on a bike like this anyway.
