Hey folks looking for a little guidance. Found this at a local impromtu bike shop (deli man that's been getting bikes from police auctions). Not by any means an expert at bikes or biking but looking for something versatile and good to ride about. Saw this Specialized Sirrus, googled the serial number and saw it was from 2014. Man is asking $150 for it. Is it worth it? Between this a a vintage roadbike in good conditoon for 70 bucks. Advice appreciated, thanks!

Generally yes, but this looks like it’s in pretty rough shape. Hasn’t been taken care of at all, Mostly cosmetic, but you’d want to deal with the rust on the fork at least. You can typically find bikes in better condition, so I’d say $100 at most really.
Also, as always,check the options you’re looking at are the right size for you. Road bikes and hybrids use different sizing, so you’ll have to look up different size charts to get a (rough) idea of what you need.
Try it, I have one and it feels unexplainably harsh. Mine has 32 tires and cromoly fork, why is it so harsh, I don’t know.
