I’m Richard—The Eternal Cyclist. After decades on the road countless Km, I evolved I no longer ride to conquer—I ride to be present.
Last decade I’ve lived from a AZUB recumbent bike. With no fixed plans or final destination. Just a presence—a meditation in motion.
Guided by the Buddhist middle path and Japanese *wabi-sabi*—the beauty of enough, nomadic lifestyle.
Not homeless—my bike is my home.
A hammock for a bed. A stove for meals. Few nessary things.
Most days I get what’s needed , nights I camp wild. Sometimes I travel with others!
I share unfiltered, unedited, unstaged videos— just real roads, moments, life, as the road presents it!
Just the joy of riding through a changing world, one breath, one pedal stroke at a time.

Okay, it’s warmed up a little bit, but it has started to rain again. Uh, so we’ll see how it goes. It’s going to be a heavy rain or a light rain. It looks like it’s just passing through. So, this hopefully it’ll be just a light one, but I got to get a few kilometers in today. Uh, took a late start. Got some stuff done, some videos posted, some other paperwork and things that I share for friends and look into doing numbers, checking out things to help them all get ready. It’s all been done. The bike route itself, it’s not too bad. It’s the gravel road. It’s that one. But it is what it is. Let’s get some kilometers in today. spoke too soon or went too long. Suddenly the skies have opened up and it’s just pouring down. Rain sitting here underneath a tree trying to hide out a little bit. Uh we’re going to see what goes on. But basically, yeah, the skies just opened up and it’s pissing down rain pretty hard. So I’ll hide out here for a minute. Took off at the wrong time again. Seen a couple bike riders ride past. Same thing. miserable weird conditions this year. Deep, deep into the forest, the bridges that cross over us, etc., etc. Trikes and trailers on some of these roots. They are doable. Very, very doable. But the thing is, you will definitely have your wheels, as you see, in the grass here. And same with the trailer. It’s not going to fit most of the time on the trail itself. So, it’s going to be a little bit of a bumpy ride. This and that more coming up. Uh, as you can see, this goes under underpasses and stuff. So basically by the walls of the stuff here you can see this is done on just like they do in America and a lot of places on old railway uh lines that are no longer in existence. They tear out all the tracks, tear out everything and then make kind of bike paths out of them because they do kind of go to where main stuff is. Nice little moore along the road but within the city. Good for camping would have been better or not better. You’d think signs would be more international. That means don’t ride your bike on the road. Yet in our countries, some of the countries, unless it has a slash through it, it means ride your bike on the road. When the skies open up, they open up. It is pissing down rain. Hopefully, it’ll stop here in a minute and move on. Okay, the skies have opened up. The rain is horrible. The tracks are just completely mud. Running rivers going down and up the hill as we come up. All running rivers. All running everywhere. That’s the trail right now. Okay, you see I’m drying everything here. It’s just been a soy soaking wet day. Sun finally came out. Did some work to the bike. did a couple live videos, some other things. Um, just testing the solar panel, trying to get it up to date. It did charge a little bit while riding in the thing, but only got about 7 or 8%, so not that much. But with sun come up for a while, I’ve been able to get some better percentages. dry up the clothing, get the mold out of some of the stuff that’s getting molded up. I got to remember that if it’s going to sit and rain for so many days, I got to kind of take it apart and watch that this stuff can get moldy, wash that out, clean it up at the next place I get where I can wash good. Uh I forget about the little things like that, the little adjustments to the packing on the bike and those things. It’s just little stuff, everyday stuff that we often so many times forget about. All right, have a good one. Well, after a day’s worth of rain, going to at least get a little bit of a nice sunset. Beautiful surroundings here by the Moore. The bike trail drying up a bit, so it should be a little bit better tomorrow, but still has the puddles everywhere here and there. Beautiful skyline over on this side. Just a gorgeous view over there is your little moore. Got the hammock hanging up already. Have had dinner. So, I’ll get ready to go to bed here in the next few. Try to get a good night’s sleep. Doesn’t look like any cyclists or anything coming. Like I say, this is a little bit away from everything. So, should be a nice place. Get a nice little sleep out of it and that’ll be a good day. and a beautiful view like I said. Beautiful. Beautiful. Okay, it looks like we get a little bit of a change in weather. A little break in these rainstorms, but according to weather report, it will be coming back later today. So, I’m going to make a run for it and I’m going to take off the trail for a little bit. I’m going to take a shortcut and avoid one area that’s all gravel like this and muddy, some of the bikers say. Okay, some people call this cheating. uh whatever that I’m taking off the dirt road and the bike trail and I’m getting onto the the main road. Well, the difference is the B dirt trail here goes around the huge lot, but it comes back onto this road up ahead. Up ahead, the route is this road. So, I’m just taking a cut across to avoid, as you can see on the side of the road here, the mess and the muck from these torrential rains that have made that pathway. I mean, very slowgoing, everything else. I mean, it’s not that I don’t have time and all that stuff. It’s just it becomes sometimes to the point it’s just not nice riding. And the views may be a little better than the roadside, but to be in the floods and the other things like you see down there of these things just doesn’t make it fun. So, I’ll take this cut across and then catch back up to the main uh route again. Along some of the forest routes, they have these big towers to watch the animals and do the different stuff. So, those of you who want to climb stuff like this, they’re along a lot of the forest routes, go up, take a view, take a look. Not my thing. Okay, this is a important point. It’s got a little more here, toilets and everything else. Uh, but this can bring you to the three sister or three brother uh border area. It’s a little post here that’s basically means [Music] one area is Russia, one area is Lithuania, and the other one is Poland. So, we’re just going to come in here, could take a little pee, and then go see what this is all about. Well, that area was a little disappointing, the border thing. now that they’ve closed it off that you can’t step on it and get your photo there anymore. You got to take it across the big bob wire. Uh now I’m having to follow the roads around. It goes for about probably 5 to 10ks further across Poland here and following the uh Lithuanian border for there’s a crossing to cross over just still from the old days that have these restricted areas. There are ways to go through but that’s forest roads this and that. You can have problems with that depending on the mood and with the Ukraine Russian war right now. The mood in those areas with the border patrols. Yeah, I go around. Okay. I could turn here apparently and get there, but it’s not a very good route. It goes to the lake which follows right along the Kilingrad border real closely at first, but you don’t see anything and you really can’t go too many places. This is one of the smaller supermarkets in Poland, uh, smaller chains. So, the prices aren’t bad. They do same thing, have good prices on good things, but generally I don’t shop at them because overall they’re a little bit more expensive. Okay, this little bit of Poland is the rolling hills areas and lakes areas. You can see lots of storks up on the tops of these things all over the place. One thing you got to watch in some of these roads and Polish back roads and other ones, European back roads, is these sudden rolling hills. They’re short and steep. Like I say, short and steep. I said before and before, lots of these short, steep little climbs. 10%, 12%, 15%. [Music] Brutally take it out of you today. Okay, we’re leaving Poland. This is Latavio. That was Poland. Russia is that way. Okay, this trip everything just keeps seeming to change. Weather is just since Slovakia been rain, rain, rain. So now we’ve come up all around Poland, the greenways, but to take the greenways the rest of the way down in the rain. No. So I’m going to turn now into Lithuania. See if I can avoid the rain. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe.
