So, recently I got an old used bike and it was filthy!

I removed so much gunk from the bike that I wanted to post here 😅. The process was first give the whole bike a good clean with water, bike shampoo and drive train cleaner. Then I let it dry. Later(weeks later, because of my availability and rain) I removed the old chain (it was worn, I put a new one), removed the wheels and cleaned as best as possible the drive train components. Unfortunately I don't have a cassette removal tool, nor a crankset removal tool, so I did my best with clean cloths, toothpicks, WD-40 and patience.

And guys, please, clean your bike regularly 😂

  1. Same groupset I’ve got on my dads old Trek carbon bike. Slightly big for me (it didn’t fit him right either) but can’t bear to part with it so I just keep it running and ride it to the store and back every now and then.

Great work and thanks for sharing.
