This is my 1973 Raleigh spots I was given to me on my last day of high school and has been my main mode of transportation to and from work for the past year. My absolute favorite part of this bike and other bikes of the era is that ol reliable Sturmy archer 3 speed internal gear hub that makes cruising around a breeze with instant quiet shifts and the ability to change gear at a stand still. Even after the botched reassembly i did the first time that absolutely ate the pin to the sun gear it was still working ok ( it was replaced and a piece of mechanics wire has been used to secure it ).
