Quickly becoming more than a commuter.
Return to office order was a good excuse to upgrade my commuter rig. Primary goal was a rig I could also dabble in bikepacking and get all gear off my back (previously using a cyclocross bike and backpack resulted in a sweaty and sore back).
The YBBeat came with full 3×9 XTR. Upgraded with custom cedaero frame bag, surly troll fork and 24 pack rack, wald 139 basket with wizard works bag, and dyno hub with front and rear lights. Cheers to less cars and more bikes!

Oh that’s a beauty! Titanium is forever. I always had a soft spot (soft tail?) for these bikes since I first saw one in the pages of Mountain Bike Action in 1993, and I was stoked to demo the latest version at a festival in VT way back in 2013. It was always nice seeing versions like this one pop up on eBay, often at very tempting prices. Did you buy yours used? What’s the model year?
I’m also very curious what you paid for your Dyno lights. Some of the prices I’m seeing are crazy!!! A big reason why I opt for a lumbar pack/ sling bag/ backpack over frame bags/ panniers is that I don’t have to worry about the contents getting stolen when I lock the bike up. Seems like a $350 Sinewave light may as well flash “STEAL ME” at 750 lumens.
Such a fun bike/build. If the Moots engineering team that built this frame could see this now. This was not on their BINGO card.
Timely. I will be having coffee at the Cedaero shop this weekend. Nice bag.
My Moots Rogue YBB is still one of my favorite and most well travelled mountain bikes. Y B Beat?
Hot.
