12-speed 11-50t is coming tomorrow and I felt like going for a [short] ride tonight with the new derailleur.

Is it perfect? Definitely not, have to shift twice in some places obviously, as there are 12 shifts across a 10-speed cassette. But overall I was impressed by how well it did with a 10-speed chain (KMC X10) and cassette considering it's completely out of design spec. Chain's too short as well.

But overall it's totally rideable.

Screw it: GX Eagle AXS shifting a 10-speed cassette and chain.

Cool AF. Refreshing to see someone more interesting in getting out there than casuallly chasing the perfect shift, lol

  2. This is not something to share and celebrate. Anyone can tolerate some shit for a short ride but that doesn’t make it a success or a revelation.

Since it’s all electronic I don’t get why you couldn’t (ie why they don’t just officially support) just program the shifts to be perfect from 10-13 speed.
