Is that a good deal? Is this a good bike. It was recently tunned and has low miles. First owner used it mainly for trainer which was a friend of the current owner and they used it as a spare bike and didn’t ride it much.

It’s upgraded with Ultrega!

I’m new to biking and want help from this thread. Bike has never been in crash and very well maintained.

Ultegra Mechanical but bike looks clean. is it worth $850 no, but are you going to find any bike new with this type of performance for $850, no either.

I would make sure to look at the bars and headset since the bike was used as a trainer, there could have been a lot of sweat that has cause unseen corrosion. other than that check the chainrings, chain, and cassette for wear since that could be hundreds of dollars if those need to be replaced

I think this is a good deal if the bike fits and meets your needs. The ARs are pretty stiff and have a generally aggressive ride position. Possibly an important factor is what size are those chain rings?

When you put this thing next to what you can get, new, for $1000 it’s an easy choice IMO unless you have to have discs (and some might).

  4. It’s not a bad bike, especially for the price but those under the bb direct mount rear brakes are usually pretty crap and you’ll have to make sure you keep it clean fairly regularly because they gunk up really quick.
