Hello, I need help on how to progress my jumping from here. I’m finally clearing smaller jumps with ease but mine technique still doesn’t feel exactly right. I’m not really getting the vertical air I’m looking for and it just feels a little sketch. What can I change to my technique to get more height? Also, I know I’m supposed to be keeping my legs fully extended alllll the way through the lip but for some reason everytime I reallyyyy try to focus on keeping them straight I either buck forward or just feel super awkward in the air. It’s like bending my legs that little bit helps keep my feet on my pedals. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

How can I improve my jumping from here

I would start by steering toward the actual *jump* (hint: it’s toward the left). Kidding…….. sorta.

You’re not moving your body, you’re just approaching the jump at a degree of speed and letting physics do the rest. If you were running at the same jump and wanted to go the farthest would you just lift up your legs or would you pump your legs and leap? You need to compress your legs and spring off the lip. Add your body motion TO the motion of the bike and it will go a lot higher.

If you angled toward the more substantial lip to the left you’d see more amplitutude since the angle is higher.
