Freewheeling blonde heading to France on a budget. I ride about 100 miles from Yorkshire and I check into a youth hostel. 30 quid a night for a three bedroomedroom. I used to use travel lodges and premier ins. But guess what? You’re more likely to get your bike nicked. So I’m using youth host. And if any scrots see this, they’ll probably nip me back. This is one of the youth hostel rooms. It’s slightly trashed. I take the ferry from Portsmouth to K on a 99 bike and ride a 5-day return and head west for my favorite biker hangout, the Bond Leaport Abbey. side of that great big alley there. It’s just free and easy. This is how the French do days out on the bike. France is full of shadows and most of them free entry. And I continue my ride and head for the 16th century mana house. Rash Shagu and a very nice posh cafe indeed. Famous P. That’s us. Got a lemon seed and poppy. Absolutely gorgeous. Totally stunning. Britany is absolutely rammed full of beautiful country lanes, completely and utterly empty. But unfortunately, you cannot like Yorkshire always guarantee the weather. really chugging it down and the cows are advancing on me. I’ve been five times to Britany cuz I like it. Even though it’s wet, I do like it. The cows are Going to go to Carak. It’s about 2 hours ride. I’ve got my kettle bell to biscuits because there doesn’t seem to be anything open. Only at certain times in Britany. If you don’t get there at the time that they eat, they shut basically. I’ll see you in Car Standing Stones. center. It isn’t in center. I don’t know where it is, love. English. Okay. Okay. Okay. Just have to park there. It’s slightly chaotic night today with all the roads going off. I’m just making a brew. Everywhere is shut. You don’t have to pay. You pay for like a guided tour thing with an audio duder on which I shan be doing that cuz it’s not my cup of tea. There’s that train thingy above over there, but that ain’t my cup of tea either. If you’re an old hippie stone bothering biker like me, you’ll absolutely love this place. These stones date back to 4,500 BC and they were moved here in the field in the Carac region around 3,300 BC. Either way, they’re older than Stonehenge and even though it’s gone a little bit touristy, I absolutely highly 100% recommend it. Actually walk around the stones in pay. So, I’ve just legged it over the wall just to get shot. What a naughty girl. Bank myself later. I’m heading for Binnick today. Continuing me uh day rides for cripples series. Binnick is a small fishing port on the north coast of the coat damir and it’s a great biker hangout. Bit chill ain’t it? Flipping starving. Are you having the full job? What are you telling me of? Ham and cheese panini for €5. 26 quid for panini burger. Two coffees. How biddy’s over there in the sea. I come here. I think I should have brought me costume and had a dip in. My mother would absolutely love it here. It’s absolutely stunning. Oh, I’m not doing a bit of wireism. I’m doing the booking beach huts. It’s my last day in Britany, so I decide to head for some early morning spiritual enlightenment at the Buddhist Center in Blurray before catching the early afternoon ferry over to Portsmouth. I thought I’d be on me here. Bummer. Wow, it’s absolutely beautiful. Can you hear the prayer flags fluttering? What on earth is that? Like a sacrifice how he’s been laid out. Good hell. It’s not an offer to Buddha. You’re into myth and legends and little seaside villages and all that malarkey. You’ll love Britany. Like this channel, give me a big thumbs up and subscribe down below. And I’ll see you in the next one.

Great video Sharon! Loving the new style.
What a great idea for a cheeky getaway. Love that Buddhist place.
Great to see the occasional Codpiece appearance.
Great video. Good to meet you at Pool in Wharfedale petrol station on Saturday.
Great video Sharon, you've got really good at editing and production. I'll have to get myself to France for a tour, not even stayed away for more than one night on the bike, I'm hopeless. 😀
Once again you find interesting places to visit! So much packed into such a small area! Thanks for taking us along.
Great video but surely a plat du jour would have been much cheaper than the burger and panini. They are around 12 to 15 euro around here in the Lot valley but you get 3 courses.
Very clever advice re not getting your bike nicked.
Enjoyed watching, thanks for sharing 🤘🏻
Absolutely right about premier inns, rode up to Edinburgh from Suffolk this year, stopped at a premier inn in Stockton and was told to park the bikes out the front of reception in case they got robbed. Went to breakfast in the morning and the staff said they were surprised that the bikes were still there. They will have your eyes here mate. So sad, can’t even have a ride out with your mates now.
Soon we will have to take more chains, disc locks etc instead of your gear just to have a break.😢😢
Bravo 👏 Very good video😊
Lived in France for years, the roads are fantastic and pretty much empty . Very mellow place to ride. If you end up in Bretagne again try La Roche Bernard, hidden gem of a place.
Nearly as nice as Scarborough and Whitby, thanks 😊
£99 what a bargain , I was stuck where to go in August …not anymore just booked a ferry with this deal 👍
Do you pre-book accommodation or just make it up when you get there? Thanks..
France has privacy laws that are very different to the UK. It is illegal to film individuals without their consent and illegal to film number plates and publish them. Like many Brits, you probably think that they don't apply to you, but wait till you get noticed, the fine will blow your budget.
Don't eat in the tourist traps as they are expensive. Go to a Boulangerie and get a baguette sandwich or a slice of something savoury with a dessert. Much better value! If you're really on a budget, supermarket baguette sandwiches are even cheaper…
Astonishing🎉
Awesome video, keep up the good work! 💪
I also create content about motorcycles and exploration. If you want, check out my channel – you might like it! 😉
Nice little trip there. Enjoyed that and dropped you a sub.
France is gorgeous, and the roads are fantastic! I used to have a house there.
Great short tour 👍
Bretons would not be happy with your words. They don’t consider Bretagne to be a part of France.
Bonne vidéo Sharon.
Road trip à réitérer vers d'autres régions de notre merveilleux pays.
Bonne route et ….. Take care.
Tony.
PS: Je possède la même monture .
£99 is good, I guess it doubles once you add on a room on the boat?
That was delightful. Not seen you before but in a few moments you have brought forward my back of the mind idea to toddle off to France on my Himmy. Thank you.
I prefer essex…
Excellent video I enjoy the empty roads of Northern France, your right about the Premiere Inn bike security, I yet to find a good secure one, but putting the bike cover on and using a Litelock has helped my theft anxiety a little. I use 1 or 2 star Camping municipal sites usually about a 10- 12 Euro's a night .
