Tresonche is one of the oldest villages in Macedonia. The first time Tresonche is officially mentioned is back in 1467.
Situated in Mavrovo National Park the village can be reached with a car on a narrow regional road passing through the area called Boshkov Most. There are few more villages along.
A mountain road with medium difficulty leads to the waterfall Sin Vir. It takes one hour to get there from Tresonche.
As you go you will pass by the opening of Dolna (Lower) Alilica Cave and see the opening of the Gorna (Upper) Alilica Cave near the waterfall.
They both form one long cave canal. During the early periods of spring, there is too much water so it’s not possible to get close to Sin Vir.
