Footage has revealed the moment a coward was chased down by brave members of the public after hitting a pensioner with an e-bike and leaving her in a pool of blood in the road.
Former Wigan Athletic youth footballer Kian Monks left pensioner Margaret Scaldwell with severe injuries after the bike he was on with another man struck her on Orrell Road in Wigan on August 1 2023.
While Margaret Scaldwell survived, she sustained severe injuries.
Margaret was left lying in a pool of blood having sustained compound fractures to her left leg, broken bones in both arms, multiple broken ribs, and severe facial injuries as a result of the impact her head had with the pavement.
As shocked onlookers desperately called 999, other brave members of the public followed them and were able to detain Monks, who was seen covered in blood.
The other rider made off on foot before handing himself in at Wigan police station later that day.

Margaret, who is in her 60s, suffered compound fractures to her left leg, broken bones in both arms, multiple broken ribs, and severe facial injuries. After striking her with the bike, Monks and another 22-year-old man also riding the bike quickly fled, but were chased down by brave members of the public. Monks, who was covered in blood, was detained. The other rider made off on foot before handing himself in at Wigan Police Station later that day. At Bolton Crown Court on Wednesday, July the 23rd, Kian Monks of the Avenue Wigan was jailed for 2 years and 3 months. He had pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving, dangerous driving, driving with no license or insurance. He was also found guilty of failing to stop at the scene of a collision, failing to report a collision, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis following a serious collision. [Music]

You can clearly see no one knocked her over, CCTV doesn't show moment of collision at all so this is click bait. Also she didn't even look left or right, she wandered out looking straight ahead
