Idc about the treadmill thing, but Courage is without a doubt one of—if not the—best to ever do nose manuals. And world records can’t be compared to video parts, which you’ve posted.

Even then, I think he definitely earns the right to break the record lol. He throws down insane nose manual lines just for IG and even links them in his competition runs where the risk is super high.

Nobody else is doing it like him.

Not doubting Courage’s skill. It is the legitimacy of what he’s doing that I question. Lab tested stunts? Claiming some phoney record with an authority goes against the very foundations of street riding.

Foundations set by people in the attached video

  3. Historical significance and world record are the same and different, it just depends.

In sport where difficulty, art, and context are perfectly blended the significance is something different to everyone.

  4. I don’t think there’s any reason to shit on some rider for doing a stunt for a sponsor.

  5. I think this record was stipulated specifically for a treadmill. He did a [longer distance](https://youtu.be/aRE3bHphGZo) in the wild.
Also just my two cents, but historically BMX’s “official” records are usually measured in a controlled vacuum; in-completion/real world records are recorded separately.

Lets do a little more research first. That treadmill video wasnt his world record video, the link i posted is his world record video. No one in the world could beat that and as for actual tricks courage has done plenty of impressive nose manual tricks aswell. Safe to say that yes there are other bmxers with impressive nose manuals but courage is definitely the king of that trick

  7. Gate keeping like this is the reason BMX doesn’t grow and nobody gets paid what they deserve for doing it professionally. I love BMX but sometimes it really is too core/cool for its own good.
