700 is not equal to 622 last time I checked. Odd that the box says 700 but the armor itself says 622 and is too small. Did they ship the wrong size? Or did I just do my math wrong and order the wrong size?
My wheel, tire, and tube are all 700 C. I ordered 622 C. It seems pretty simple, I’m not sure where I went wrong.

Ah, wheel size standards. 29” and 700c are both…622. 622 is the diameter of the rim. 700c came from the outside diameter of the tire.
Inserts can be a pain in the ass to install, but the size is what you ordered at least.
Typo correction: I ordered 700 C, not 622 C
622 is the ETRTO size for rim bead set diameter for 700c wheels. 622c isn’t a thing, but all 700c rims are 622mm BSD.
The tube needs to be smaller to accommodate for the armor. If that is what you’re asking. Oh wait. I see… you don’t really know what you’re talking about. 622 is for whee builders… 700 is for bike riders.
I need tannus for my annus
Should be good, others have mentioned the 700c = 622 ETRTO. Tannus liners always SEEM too small when you start out, but they’re stretchy.
Bike tire sizes are really their own special hell. The sizes they advertise for the consumers are neither precise nor are they the sizes that those of us in the industry use. It’s silly, but somehow endures. As others have said 700c = 622 ISO, you’re good.
You’re right, those things are actually bear to install. Just keep at it and try to keep the first bead in the middle of the rim while you try to slip on the second bead.
