🚨 Big news for South Norfolk! After months of lobbying, I’ve secured £2.6 million in UK government funding to improve and complete key cycle and footpaths across our county.

In this video, I’m standing on the stretch between Wymondham and Hethersett — soon to be part of a fully connected cycle route from Wymondham to the hospital and the Norwich Research Park.

This is a huge win for:
✅ Safer, healthier, and more sustainable travel
✅ Better infrastructure for our rural communities
✅ Everyone working or studying at the hospital or Research Park

Thank you to everyone who’s spoken to me, written in, or shared their stories — this result is thanks to you.

Hello, Ben Goldsborough here, your MP for South Norolk. I’ve got some fantastic news to share with you. After months of lobbying, conversations with ministers, and pushing the case again and again, we’ve now secured 2.6 million pounds worth of UK government funding for Norol to complete key cycle and footpaths across the county. And I’m especially proud that this includes completing the Heather to Norwich Research Park cycleway. Something I know many of you have been asking for. I’m stood right now on the section just between Windham and Heather. Meaning that when this system is completed, we will have a continuous cycle route all the way from Windham all the way back to the hospital and to the research park. That’s a big win for safer roads, healthier travel, and more sustainable choices, especially for those working or studying at the hospital or research park. It’s also about making sure rural areas like ours aren’t left behind when it comes to infrastructure. So, thank you to everyone who’s written to me, stopped me in the street, or shared their stories about using this route. Your voices helped get this over the
