This jersey tells a story. I picked it up from Fahrradladen Ramstein, a local bike shop in the town of Ramstein while stationed in Germany this past winter. The name translates directly—“Fahrrad” means bike, “Laden” means shop—so it’s literally “The Bike Shop of Ramstein.” Every time I put this kit on, I remember the friendly folks at that shop and the unique rhythm of life in that small German town.
I had the privilege of spending four months there, and having my bike with me made the experience unforgettable. The cycling culture in Germany is different, in the best possible way. Roads are respected, the infrastructure is thoughtful, and there’s an underlying quiet pride in how they ride. It wasn’t just training. It was immersion—into a slower, more intentional kind of riding.
Even after returning to the U.S., little things bring those memories back. The feel of this jersey, the way it fits, the logo across the front. For me, it’s not just fabric and thread. It’s a reminder of a season of life when I was riding through forests, fog, and unfamiliar territory, and somehow feeling more at home than I expected.
So if you ever find yourself near Ramstein, stop into Fahrradladen. Support the shop. Say hi to the team. And if you’re lucky, you might walk out with more than just a jersey—you might carry a memory, too..

Here’s a fun kit with a good story from my
time in Germany. This is Fahrradladen Ramstein. Fahrrad is the German word for bicycle. Laden
is the word for shop. And Ramstein is the town that it was in. The bicycle shop of Ramstein.
Super friendly people there. And having the bike in Germany for four months, that was such
a special experience. Just a different culture, different cycling culture. I had so
much fun. And this jersey made me happy.
