Hello and welcome to highlights of stage five of the tour to France fam Alex from chat new deatu to ger the longest stage of this year’s race at 165.8 8 kilometers. A hilly day for the riders ahead. Heading out of Furoscope and the home of the FDJ Suez team, but an intermediate sprint with 39 km to go at Dunla Palest. Everything really backended on today’s stage. We then had a category 4 climb, the Kotu Shaban, the Kotu Peru shortly after with 32.6 to go. The intermediate sprint for bonus seconds at 8.6 to go. And then the summit, the category 3 climb li more moi with a technical descent down to the finish. It took a long time for the breakaway to be established. Eventually, Franchesca Baral, Allison Jackson, Anakah Dystra, Broady Chapman, and Katosto Campos going clear. Barali the highest placed rider on the general classification. 8 minutes and 24 seconds down. Unfortunately, Mauiar had other ideas. They didn’t want to let them go clear. Mariam Bunell of Visma Lisa. The young French rider unfortunately hitting the deck and she wouldn’t see the pelaton again. 61.5 km to go. The gap holding at just under 4 minutes. Mariana Voss going into the day in the yellow jersey. She had a 12 second advantage over Lorenna Vibbis and Kim Lor in third place. 18 to Pauline Feron Provo, Cassie Anivia Doma, Damy Volering, Anna Vanderbring and Pock Peterson, Ne Fisher Black and Khloe Diger all in the top 10. 64 and 2 seconds on offer at San La with 8.6 to go and then 10 six and 4 seconds on the line. The pressure was really on in the Pelaton as the gap started to come down. Khloe Diger in the center in the pink with the pink shoes from Canyon Shams on the crypto. Damy Volering’s FDJ Suez team all lined out in front of her. The Bellaton chasing behind the breakaway rolled through the intermediate sprint with Allison Jackson taking maximum points ahead of Gerala Sto Campos with Chapman behind. The sprint for the next points, the minor placings. Lorenna Vivas in the green jersey, extending her lead in that competition while Mariana Boss in the yellow jersey crossing the line behind her. In the breakaway though, the pressure was on. Anaka Tystra distanced from the break under the pressure of Brody Chapman. That would also be the end of the day in the break for Catalina Sto Campbos. In the bunch behind, it was go time. Ruby Roseman Ganon of the Lalula Jaco team putting in a big dig on the front. The gap would start to tumble. Chapman took maximum points on the Queen of the Mountains ahead of Barali and Jackson. The pressure really on in the Pelaton behind Justin, the Belgian champ, one of the riders really giving chase behind. It was down to just 51 seconds with 26.2 km to go. It was at this point on this Queen of the Mountains climb that Brody Chapman decided it was time to go alone. Allison Jackson quickly caught by the Pelaton with Yara Castelline of Fenex Dernik doing a monster job on the front of the Pelaton. She shredded the group and one of the casualties would be Lorena Vibbis. And despite the best efforts of her teammate, world champion Lica Pekky to keep her in contention, she wouldn’t see the front again. Queen of the Mountains leader Elise Shab leading over the Pelaton behind. She took the one point and the group was really being thinned down to a who’s who of favorites. Silk Moulders, the next rider to attack. And with her went May Eva Squibban with each breakaway. It looked like the composition would be enough to potentially take them clear. Magdalina Valeras, Juliet Labus, Ricardo Boundfind all trying to get up to the breakaway. Alarm bells though would be ringing with the movement of Mariana Voss. Was she trying to give herself a little bit of drift room with the final climb approaching? She was quickly back in the fold. It was on to this San Salatis climb and Cassie Nuvia was being paced by Chloe Diger. At the summit though, Kim Laort took the bonus seconds ahead of Pauline Feron Bravo with Cassie and Nuvia crossing the summit in third. She took the two seconds. Lort was edging closer to the Mayo Jean. Mariana distanced behind. She was with the teammates of Volering over the top. Anna Vanderan made a big move and this took the group down considerably. SD Works had been talking down their objectives for the day, but we’d seen what Ana Vander could do with that comeback win in the Welter. It was down to a really select group with Cassie and Nuvia railing it down the descent. It was still together. Nvia, Volering, Vanderbring and Feron Provo, Kim Lort with Sarah Jagante, the teammate of Lort coming back to them at the bottom of the descent. It was clear that the stage winner was coming from this group with the Puck Peterson and Sedrine Cabal group behind through the Flam Rouge. They all knew what Kim Lort could do in the sprint. Paulina Royakas looked like she was going to make the move. Vanderbrean hit the front and as they opened up for the sprint straight down the center of the road in a similar fashion to Lege Baston Kim Lort took off. Dam Volering was closing. The court set up to celebrate voling through the bike at the line. But Kim Laort makes history takes Africa’s first stage win in the tour to France fam with Marian Navos leading the group in behind. A touch around 35 seconds behind 10 six and four. Bonus seconds on the line. A stage win and back into the Mayojon for Kim Laort of AG insurance Sudal. That was the gap on the line. Damy Volering’s big throw not enough to take the stage on this occasion. Kim Lort takes it of Dame Bolering and Aanderen in third. Nvia Derma for Jigante Roy’s boss Muzique and Shab your top 10. Another day, another podium for Kim Laor makes history. The Maitian is just writing her own history in this tour to France fan. Kim Lort moves back into yellow now leads 18 seconds ahead of Queen Provo with Damy Vering now up to third at 23 seconds. All our bigname favorites for this year’s tour to France fam are in that top 10. She’s had it once already in this year’s tour. Is this a site that we’re going to see for the rest of this year’s Tour of France fam? Kim Lort is on great. Now we head into the mountains proper from Clemont Ferron to Ombbear. 123.7 km awaits the riders on stage six. This agur sudal team are going to have a big job to defend that jersey. They’re looking strong. The tour to France fam is going to hot up in the days to come. Two cat 3es, a cat one and a cat 2. That bonus sprint to come and then the run down to the finish. Join us for more action tomorrow.

  1. I love Allison Jackson. I also wonder if she is riding an ill fitting bike with (perhaps) too long cranks… You can definitely spot her pedaling!

  2. Honestly it is impressive that Gigante has only last 35 seconds to Vollering in the first five stages. She has improved massively and we all saw that she was the best climber in the Giro by a mile.

  3. Well just my opinion but a lot more fun watching a competitive race with a lot of parity. Sooner or later women’s cycling will get their “Pogi” and the fun will be over

  4. The Bonus Intermediate Sprint was not shown? ASO evidently placed it at a point where the road was the narrowest, with at least three S-turns within 400 or 500 meters. The three or four front riders covered the full road! Just earlier, one woman was forced out to the left gutter (on right side of screen).

I'd NOT commend the Course Committee for their illogical design.
    😮😮

  5. Thank you for the good job on this. I've been watching some other channels, like the official TDF channel and they aren't even trying to make good content.
