ZwergenWind on October 9, 2023 4:00 pm Sound dampening. Supposed to make the cassette quieter. They had issues with it on the pre 2021 force cassettes. There may be black rubber bands between the smaller cogs too. You could remove it if it bothers you. Just use a pick to pull them out.
