After 21,000 miles/ 33,000 km, I decided to "modernize" my first competitive race bike. It originally came with externally routed cables (from frame to handlebars) and I modified the fork to route the cables completely. All carbon work was done by me and structural integrity verified by a local carbon repair shop. This was a fun project! With the help of the Vision ACR one piece bar/stem the bike looks much cleaner now. 😊
Now used as my commuter and general training bike but still UCI legal (2026) should I want to race it next season.

Very pretty bike, impressed by you doing the carbon work yourself.
Also expecting this to hit bcj shortly because you listed your w/kg lol.
Interesting. I did a double take since I’ve never seen an internally routed Diamondback.
I’m generally averse to the idea of carbon modifications for the sake of internal routing, but if you say your work was reinforced and verified by professionals then it’s better done than most. Well done, the bike looks great.
Ok seriously how many bikes do you actually own!?!?
