Today, I attempted to cycle 322 miles for Cancer Research UK.
No Teammates. No Course. No Reward.
Just me, my bike, and the road.
For context, a 322 mile cycle is the equivalent of cycling from London to Paris and back.
In this documentary, I tried to showcase every moment from start to finish. The good, the bad, the ugly..
For me, making these videos gives me purpose and brings me one step closer to achieving my dream of one day becoming a full-time content creator. My mission is to inspire people and prove that ordinary people can do extraordinary things.
This video is more than just a guy taking on a big challenge. It is a reminder that we are all capable of overcoming great odds and achieving our goals.
Even if you’re just a young lad from the North East of England, you have to believe you are capable of more.
For those wondering about the bike I was using, it was a 2009 Giant Defy Advanced 4, which cost me £250 and that I got from Facebook marketplace…
Who said you need an expensive bike to do amazing rides, huh?
If you enjoy this video and think it is worthy of more engagement…
Please like, comment and share it.
This is just the beginning for me, so be sure to stick around, subscribe and keep your eyes peeled to see what’s next!
(P.S. it’s a full distance SOLO Ironman… video coming soon.)
Before I go, I would like to say a massive thank you to Ben Marley, who was my one man support crew yet again. Much love bro.

[Music] [Music] Good morning, guys. It is 10 to 4 in the morning. Wow, that bird is loud. Either way, we’ve decided to wake up really early today so that I can go to sleep later on. So, we’re going to be leaving at 7 8:00 tonight. So, this is the breakfast. As you can see, we’re going to watch some Ross Edgely. Just about to have an ice cold bath. Um, and then I’m going to go to bed. This is the physique we got cycling 300 m with. We’re ready for the event. We weighed 76 kilos yesterday. So, the time is currently 11 and we are literally getting ready for bed. We’re going to go to sleep. Um, wake up hopefully 6:00 and then set off for about 7. So, yeah, I’m going to get some sleep now, guys. And, uh, I’ll see you when it’s time to cycle. [Music] It is time to leave. It is time to set off. I have actually got a strategy for today and that involves bag number one. So, the strategy for today is to go down to seal. There’s a nice long road with two roundabouts at either end. We are literally going to go there for a night shift and just go back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. And we’re going at nighttime so that the roads will be quieter and hopefully I’ll be able to go a little bit faster and not worry about cars and things like that. So yeah, when we get there, we’re going to drop this bag off in the bushes just so we’re not carrying it on our character. You know, this is this is the 100 IQ place we’re talking about. You know, these are the kind of things you got to take into consideration. I have got water bottles on me bike and I am also going to be taking them off me bike as soon as I get to the place just so me bike’s as light as it can possibly be. Yeah, I am actually going to give me bike a quick clean down. Well, there she is in all the glory. Right, let’s do this. Right, boys. Mile zero. We’re here again. Head to see him and then plant the bag and then we’ll talk about strategy. [Music] [Music] All right, ladies and gents, we are officially 10 miles in. So, right now the strategy is to get some food, get rid of this [ __ ] 5 10 kilo bag, and then just grind this road. The road is just down there. Let’s find a little place to just hide this bag. That looks too obvious. It’s like, right, I feel light as a feather and so does me bike. [Music] me ass [ __ ] killing and we’re less than an hour an hour and a half in. Um I hope it just kind of numb to be honest. Right, boys. We’re going in to try and get the bag. It’s still here. There’s a nice sign. Can I sit here? Of course I can. Who’s going to tell us to move? Could you think of anything better? I couldn’t high five energy gel. Wish Wish someone like this would sponsor me. Do you know what I mean? The amount of [ __ ] gels I go through. That’s nice. Not sponsored. Unpaid ad. Let’s set back off. I cannot wait for this wind to go away. It’s proper in me face like on the way back up. And there’s a little bit of an incline. So, I mean, it’s it’s the best you could possibly get on. This road is fantastic. I’m obviously complaining that very minor details, but I wish the wind would go away. This is what I was saying about the wind on this way back. It’s heavy like [Music] we’re heading into nighttime now, so next time you see me, it will probably just be dark as [ __ ] Hello. Bennis came around with some trousers and some Lucas aids. Thank you very much, mate. This is honestly like the difference between cramping and not like this looks so bad. I say this all the time. You look like a bike thief. A drug. Have a good one, bro. I’ve tried. This is fun. Remember? Nah, mate. I’ve stopped having fun hours again. [Music] Apologies about the quality. We’ve went down to the iPhone. 81 miles in. I’m not close to breaking, but I’m struggling a lot earlier than I thought I’d be struggling. Might whip out the music now. I need to get some good time done in the night. Um, so I’m going to pull out the music. All right, team. 85 miles in. We’ve slowed right down. Like I feel [ __ ] awful. But the wind’s against us now as well. Like it’s it’s getting rough now. But I’m going to switch off again. Just go full incognito and see how else to do this. I have really really really been struggling. You know, it’s hard to whip up a camera when you feel so horrendous. But either way, still alive, still kicking. Grateful. Feel good, I suppose. [ __ ] On the road again. on the road again. Boys, I’m I’m not going to lie. I didn’t really uh think that through. I’ve just pissed where I’ve been putting me bag. We’re losing our mind. We’re losing our mind. All right, let’s lock back in. It’s time to lock in. Signing out. Night shift starts now. Let’s go, baby. Let’s [ __ ] go. Woo! the road to [ __ ] nowhere. You know, I’ve sat here right in the rain and like I’ve been struggling the last few hours and now we’re back. The rain’s coming on, but it doesn’t [ __ ] matter cuz we are steaming forward, baby. Easy. It’s also getting uh lightning now, dudes, which is good news. Well, good morning people. I really thought I was at least halfway, but I’m only 135 miles in. Um, me ass is giving us so much bother. Stay positive. You know what I mean? We’ve got to stay positive. Cheese. I can’t believe I’m not even halfway. That’s some [ __ ] Right, boys. Let us get back to grinding the path to [ __ ] knee nowhere. It’s good to see the light of day. It’s a lonely road, baby. That’s exactly why we choose to go down it. Right, boys. So, we are currently 156 milesi in to be honest me bum and the seat is really really annoying us. But then I thought what’s stopping us from going home and changing me saddle? Absolutely nothing. It takes 40 minutes. I’ve got to go up a couple banks like but nah it’s it’ll be worth it like this seat’s doing me heading night. I actually feel good but that seat is just killing us like so swap to the Carrera stock seat. Uh, the trusty old seat. Out with the old. That’s actually brand new. So, out with the new and in with the old. Much better. [Music] Okay, let’s get a [ __ ] move on. Oh, I feel rejuvenated. Feel like this is me second wind. [Music] I feel so good, guys. Holy [ __ ] Oh, it’s just still a bit tender, but this seat feels a lot more comfortable. Oh, we’re nearly 200 miles in and we’re sneaking up on someone. Going in for the overtake. I go on your right, bud. Cheers, man. Sorry, mate. Feel like I was a bit mean. Seemed like a nice guy. Look at all this beauty. Hello. Good morning. Good morning. Oh, is it a good night? Look at that, man. Honestly, Chris, I’ve been struggling with that satellite. That’s been the only thing. I had a feeling that your other bike was comfortable. Yeah. And I thought this one might not be. So, it was the seat, mate. play this seat. Hello. Hi. The seat. I’ve literally I cannot believe I have I should have went home sooner and done it. How did you know we were here? Christmasy. And then I was riding down here. See, I was going to go on the what bike in the German. I thought I need to be getting out at least once a week on it. Yeah. But uh I’ve still got like a bag planted it soon. Yeah. With food in. I load. I’ve got like four Lucas aids. Got like five brunch bars left. Oh, let’s go. An energy gel. Look at that. What you on? 174 mile. I feel good. I feel good. I think I’ve got through the worst of it. Like Yeah. Like honestly, I was in bits, but I just You just pull through like But I would struggle with staying awake, me. Yeah. Yeah. I was going to surprise you on the put your track. I was off so I didn’t know where you were. Yeah. Um Oh, me thing went off. I went off about 6:00 this morning. Yeah. Man, it took us a to get to see cuz I I put me phone down the side of the bed. I seen you going back and forth on that round about that. And then I thought, right, I’ll check later. So I put the phone down trying to get this thing. Couldn’t get this thing. I’m like, pick me your phone up. See where you are. See where you are. [Music] How many miles, John? 186. Wow. So, we are currently nearly 200 miles in. Um, I’m actually looking forward to it because honestly, since I’ve changed that seat, I’ve had no problem at all with me buttocks. I went in my room. I pulled me pants down. I had a quick look under through the mirror and mess is [ __ ] bruised like just off the wrong saddle. Right. So that first 150 60 mi was way harder than it needed to be. But I was so stubborn and stupid. I didn’t think, oh, I can just go home and change me saddle. So I made a post on Instagram and I basically said like, leave us a comment for some inspiration and I’ll read it out in the video. So this is me reading out the comments. Smash this, bro. Not been keeping as many tabs, but glad you’re still smashing it. Catch up to you when I’m when I’m recovered. I’ll not uh spill any more details. And I appreciate you very much, kind sir. Keep pushing, lad. One mile at a time. Good advice. Appreciate you, dude. You can do this. Thank you. Keep going, brother. I love that word. Appreciate you, dude. It’s very nice. So proud you’ve made it this far. You’ve got so much more in you. Keep pushing. Yes, ma’am. Very nice. Everyone believes in us. I believe in us. And it’s only a matter of time. [Music] [Music] You know, we dealt with the cold in the night. I didn’t think we’d be dealing with heat today. I think I’ve packed suns sun cream. Let’s have a look. And also, let’s get these [ __ ] tuners down. Yes. Yes. [Music] We’re nearly 18 hours in now. Um, feel good. We’re going to crack on. Uh, we like to feel a bit sore, but we feel good. Staying positive. Got to finish strong. You know what I mean? So, we’ll keep chugging away. Mile 260. I’ve been putting in some serious serious crap. Like the last 2 and 1/2 hours roughly. 21 hours 20 minutes. Having a little break. Me foot. I think I’ve injured me foot to be honest. Right here. Like when I lift that up [Music] hurts. It hurts. But nothing would hurt more than me not achieving this today. So, we got to get it done. Have to. [Music] [Music] Let’s go. [Applause] 280 mi in, Christopher has joined us again. Look at him. Legend. [Music] 14 more to go. Feeling good. More to give. [Music] There it is, Chris. Got to look at this. 300 miles. 24 hours 32 minutes. [Music] Thank you, Chris, for coming down. But ladies and gentlemen, we [ __ ] did it. I’m going to bash out another 22 miles just in honor of me nano and granddad. And I’ll do them in silence. So [Music] Got a question. What was that supposed to be hard?
