Hey guys, looking into buying a used road bike, gonna be doing about 15km to 100km bike rides going up to 1500m elevation gain depending on the ride. I’ve been looking into the used market to try to get something that will last me a while and came accross two options for Specialized brand bikes; a Tarmac Elite Compact from 2008 (https://www.specialized.com/us/en/tarmac-elite-compact/p/22008) and a Roubaix pro from 2006 (https://www.bicyclebluebook.com/value-guide/2006%20Specialized%20Roubaix%20Pro%20(1)/?srsltid=AfmBOoqI5Bsysd651IJZ89NQlq8PeaQRaDz-9uDhB5ShbhpuOMIj-07G).
Both have brand new tires, saddle. The roubaix has Campy derailleur vs ultegra on the Tarmac.
What would you recommend? They’re similarly priced with the tarmac being about 150$ CAD ($110USD) more.
