In case anyone wondered how that looks like.

I got this setup with the plan to do office commutes (~45km) with a laptop and some clothes.

Quality overall is very nice, instructions for installing are clear. The rack is sized L, mounted on the thru-axle they are offering since recently. I also got the trunk bag.

To be honest, I will probably be returning the entire thing, say goodbye to my hard-earned cash and get a Tailfin aeropack since I don’t like the overall aesthetic. My Endurace deserves to look more sporty! The trunk bag is also not rigid enough for my taste and wobbles a bit, although it sits nice and securely on the rails.

What do you think?

  1. I simply CAN’T justify the cost of a tailfin. However, I do have to say that it doesn’t look as off on a gravel bike.

Maybe it’s because I have mudguards and a saddle bag already muddying that whole rear area up.

  2. Damn, that is pretty sick!

EDIT:I looked up that Tailfin one, damn that is even sickier!

  3. The rack itself looks ok, but this bag… tailfin does it better for sure, except stupid price.

    Maybe ortlieb panniers?

  4. Great bike! I have one just like it, same color and all!

As far as the rack goes, my inclination would be to keep this rack. As has already been pointed out, you can put regular paniers on this rack. They’ll attach more securely and sit lower.

On the other hand, I’m not sure I would be loading a carbon frame bike with multiple paniers and gobs of stuff. Steel seems much better suited to that.
