  1. Looks like they want me to send my wheels in, let them test them for 20 days, and then probably just send them back to me.

This is annoying because I don’t want to not ride for 20 days but also don’t want to die of spontaneous de lamination

  2. if you have ARC wheels they state that “no reports of product defects” were reported so idk if it’s them being careful or if it was one factory they are worried about (wheels from their poland factory are also not included)

What will happen if I buy now a new bike with those wheels? Is Canyon allowed to sell them after recall?

  4. Are there stats on how many of these delaminations have occurred and if there are other conditions that make it more likely such as temperature?

Im just annoyed. I ordered my ultimate just last week and received it yesterday. Im about to prep and bike fit it on thursday for my ironman end of month and now im supposed to not use the bike until then? There cannot be a worse timing. Its clearly unknown how big of a problem this is for ARC wheels. Most likely i will send my wheels in and get them back with no issues found. I have no spare wheels and those i know dont have carbon wheels laying around either.

  6. I have the ARC 1400 series and my serial number falls into the ones that are affected. The only info I have right now is that I need to wait for instructions from DT Swiss for them to send me a box and I send them the wheels for inspection.

They said it’s a 20-day turnaround… so…. like…. do they expect us to just go without wheels for 20 days during peak cycling season?

Would be nice if they sent the replacement wheels *first*

  7. Lucky for me I live in Colorado and there is a DT Swiss subsidiary. I gave them a call and left a message, but I’m really curious to see if I can drop off my wheels there and get some more information if I do I will let you guys know.

Confirming that if you are the US and want to buy a bike that could be affected, Canyon will send the bike and it will be up to you to send the wheels to DT Swiss if your wheels are affected.

Over the weekend, they prevented sales of many Aeroads with affected wheels, which I made the false assumption they were being verified and preventing sales, but that is not the case. They will sell you the bike with potentially faulty wheels. I would definitely hold on buying a bike.

Bro do we have any confirmed faceplants with Arc, otherwise just be careful above 40+ lol

Hey, quick question – does the DT Swiss ARC 1600 Dicut recall affect me too? I just bought the Canyon Ultimate CF 7 Di2 AERO a few days ago, and it came with those wheels. Bit worried now…
