Indeed, a race to the point, etc. and Christian Prud’homme knew it and let the beasts loose. And it started right away with the inevitable Casper Asgreen. Everyone beat him, he put on the aero helmet, he had already done it on the Giro d’Italia, he had gone for a great victory. First attacker of the day, Pink Jersey on his shoulders, the Dane, Casper Asgreen, immediately followed by Quentin Pacher and the broad shoulders of Marco Haller. Huge, yesterday, already, in the service of his leader, Tadej Pogacar. New acceleration from Tim Wellens, Drizners, Aurélien Paret-Peintre Alexandre Delettre and Frank Van den Broek in the wheel. He who once wore the white jersey with red weight, he missed an additional point. It’s its leader, Tadej Pogacar, who will carry off this distinctive jersey at the end of this 112th edition of the Tour de France. Be careful, we’re starting to look at each other a little. We’re exhausted. We’re past the hour mark of the race. There’s a first peloton that’s standing out. There’s a second peloton around Tadej Pogacar. It’s time to make the leap. I remember the identity of the leaders, Jordan Jégat, the best placed in the general classification, who would pose a problem within this leading group of 13 riders. Is he the one who poses a problem? Is there some superstition linked to numbers, saying: No, we can’t start with 13 riders? In any case, he’s accompanied by Matteo Jorgenson, another Frenchman; Romain Grégoire is also at the front; Harry Sweeny, Tim Wellens, Simone Velasco, Franck Van Den Broek; Pascal Enkhoorn, the third Frenchman; Ewen Costiou, Kaden Groves; Matteo Trentin , Ivan Roméo; and finally, Jake Stewart, a sprinter, a puncher, a climber. Place your bets. Try to find the two counter-attackers, Van Boer and Watson. Intermediate sprint, are we going to do it? Yes. Enkhoorn, who comes to take second place behind Velasco. He hadn’t seen the line. Come on, Mr. Stewart, Mr. Groves, hang on if any climbers try to break away or accelerate. Clever, the Australian who’s tackling this Côte de Thésy in the lead. Here we go for 3.6 kilometers at nearly 9%. You see, it’s all red. It’s difficult, there’s a crowd. We saw it earlier with Anna Walker. And already, it could be decisive for the stage victory. She didn’t want him to escape, so Jordan Jégat accelerates. Look, the gap is the same as at the foot of Thézy. There was 2.30 at the foot. Yes, Axel Laurance has made up time, but the peloton, the yellow jersey, is losing time to Jordan Jégat. Intelligently, behind, Groves is taking a hit. Stohrer, that? Yeah. That’s Skuyns , that’s Madouas, that’s Van Aert, I’d say Delette. and Barguil behind too. It’s coming out. Small group that’s about to reform. 20 seconds ahead, the last 600 meters of this Côte de Thésy. And Harry Sweeny reacts. And suddenly we have a one-shot lead for Jordan Jégat. It’s true that these last few days, we’ve been seeing him all the time. There are a few riders who… This isn’t the case for Sweeny, but other riders we didn’t see at the start of the Tour and who now, in the third week, are still there, Van Den Broek. For two weeks, we didn’t see him much. And now, for the last two or three days, we feel like he’s on the green cushion, capable of being alongside his leader on the big mountain stages. There are some who finish the Tour de France better than others. Romain, we’re hanging on. I want to say, the hardest part is done, even if there will still be hills. No climbs as hard, no climbs as long. We’ll still have some rough terrain to get to Pontarlier. I admit that I wouldn’t have put Jordan Jegat. Besides… He’s getting back up. No, he’s getting up. Sweeny is starting to get angry. His teammate, we were talking about him earlier, 43 kilometers, Ben Heally, alone? Alone. He said to himself: I can do better. Yeah, 54. It’s a fight. They’re in their rooms together, they said to themselves: Come on. This stage of the Madeleine, on paper, it’s going to hurt. I’ll cut you two seconds, but still, it’s Ben O’Connor himself riding in the Young Jersey group to save his tenth place. Ben O’Connor himself trying to close the gap on Jordan Jégat. And that’s a very powerful image at the end of the Tour de France. He, who has already finished fourth in the Giro d’Italia, fourth in the Tour de France, on the podium of the Vuelta, who won the queen stage in the Alps, is riding with 38 to go to save his tenth place. That’s it, we’ve ejected Jorgenson, Wellens, and little Costiou from the back , and up front, it’s back to Romeo, Trentin, Velasco, and Jégat. I feel like he’s there too on Sweeny. He’s right there, Harry Sweeny. Should he continue, or on the contrary, should he take a look in the rearview mirror and rejoin that group? There, six seconds. Come on, a new one . Almost as long as the Thézy climb. 500 meters less, but it’s mainly the gradients that are still less pronounced. 5.5%. We might have some riders in difficulty in this group. The weight of the kilometers, the weight of three weeks of racing, the rain. It’s still Groves who sets the pace. He’s the one who accelerates the Alpecin team sprinter. Incredible. I think he’s doing well. Romain Grégoire, in front of his supporters at the head of the race. And in gradients he likes. That was the Romain Grégoire bend. Clearly. We were expecting him here. He responded. Watch out for the front, Roméo’s attack. He’s gone, the Spanish champion. Watch out for him. Steve, you pointed out earlier, we mustn’t give him 30 meters. And now, we’re letting Ivan Roméo go. And Velasco reacted. Jacques Stewart understood the danger. Stewart, the same, we were talking about Kaden Groves Steward’s climbing skills , he’s huge too. Roméo will be brought back into line, but we remember, at the Dauphiné, he made not one, but two, even three attacks before cracking the breakaway group. Especially since we had the impression he was suffering from the pace, Roméo. Romain, he’s strong, Romain. Romain Grégoire’s counterfeit who is getting back in Ivan Roméo’s wheel. The last of his strength. Romain Grégoire is normally at the end of his rope, but here, in front of his home crowd, he wants to excel. On terrain that suits him, with difficult gradients. Not long. Romain, he knows the terrain. Romain Grégoire, gone. He won a sublime stage to open the Tour of Switzerland by breaking away, the same, on a descent. He knew the terrain perfectly. He had studied the roadbook precisely. Here, we are on his training routes, so every square centimeter, he knows it by heart. He obviously knows this entire finale towards Pontarlier. The rain helps him technically when you know all the turns. Inevitably, he is wary of Cut and Groves and Jack Stewart. He goes very fast in the sprint, Romain Grégoire. But try to clear these two. There you go, this peloton will in turn arrive at this climber. Romain Grégoire too. The terrible crash, Roméo Grégoire on this right-hand bend. We saw it was already slipping uphill, and then we arrived at this bend very quickly. An uncontrollable front wheel slide. Bad luck for Romain Grégoire and Yvan Roméo, who seemed to be the most affected. Unfortunately, Romain knows this bend, but he was also surprised by Roméo’s fall, as he slid off the front. Ouch, ouch, ouch, Romeo is particularly battered. His jersey is torn. And so, a trio is leading the way now. The two sprinters, Stewart Groves, accompanied by Frank Van Den Broek at the exit of the Villiers. I think it’s Pascal Heenkhoorn right behind? With Jojo Jégat. It’s possible because by the time we get going again, to be helped out, we’ll get going again. For Romain Grégoire, we’ll lose precious seconds. We’re done for for Jorgenson Wellens or we’re marking each other and sniffing each other a lot. It’s not bad. In any case, we’ve lost contact. Why? Because we’ve marked each other. But with Grégoire’s return, with Sweeny who, even if he’s been distanced on the pedals, will, I think, take over. Plus, the good news for Jorgenson is that it’s not audible up front. It’s Kaden Groves who went solo. Yes, because look, Stewart asks Van Den Broek to pass, he refuses. And Kaden Groves isn’t waiting for anyone. He wants to be 114th. 114th current has won the three major tours. The Vuelta has been ticked off for a long time. The Giro d’Italia has also been ticked off. At the end, in Pontarlier, there could be victory in the Tour de France. It’s really not an attack. It’s not an attack. He’s riding and remember that Van den Broek didn’t want to collaborate with Stewart and Groves, who are reputed to be faster. He said to himself: The two sprinters will bring me along like that, we’ll see. But except that the two sprinters have an agreement and when one rider in a trio doesn’t ride, subconsciously, the other two riders want to trap the one who isn’t collaborating. A third victory with a third different rider. Jasper Philipsen won the first stage. The yellow jersey, Mathieu Van der Poel, won his little stage. And now, we could give victory to the one who normally arrived at this Tour de France in the role of pilot fish for Jasper Philipsen . Jasper Philipsen left the Tour route prematurely. Groves freed from all constraints. He is flying 11.8 kilometers. And we are close to a minute behind for the Jorgenson group. Yes, Pascal Heenkhoorn couldn’t keep up with the pace of Jégat, Van Den Broek and Stewart. Look at the two of them, Van Den Broek and Stewart, who are not letting go. It’s not going badly, but we continue to lose time to a man. Watch out, Stewart is distanced. Van Den Broek leaves. This could change the end of this race, the last 10 kilometers. We have passed the last percentages. Now, it’s going to be a slight descent and flat. But Van Den Broek engages in a tug-of-war with Kaden Groves. Jack Stewart is beaten. He’s not giving up, you can see it. Jack Stewart says: I don’t want to let him go, but sometimes nature takes over. And if you’re physically weaker, he doesn’t want to see him go. But if he’s really stronger, Van Den Brooke can do it. The rain that managed to hold off Kaden Groves for a little less than 5 kilometers left, the Australian sprinter could go on to claim his first stage victory on the roads of the Tour de France. It would be extraordinary to see how he managed to build this success. He has almost a kilometer’s lead, Kaden Groveq over Franck Van Den Broek, over the Tour group of Jordan Jégat, just behind. He’ll have plenty of time to savor it. And his team, which will therefore finish this Tour de France as it began it. The victory in Lille with Jasper Philippsson, the yellow jersey. The next day, Mathieu Van der Poel, who succeeded Jasper Philippsson, also wore the yellow jersey. He arrived on the roads of the Tour de France as a teammate. Now he’s the winner. An extraordinary trajectory for an extraordinary stage, for an extraordinary rider. He’s a sprinter who will win with the banner. Yes, a bit like Mathieu Van der Poel, capable of attacking from very far away, of controlling his opponents. We had seen him very comfortable in the climbs, even in Thézy, 3 kilometers at 10%. He was the one who set the pace, we felt it was going to be difficult to let him go, but we perhaps didn’t expect to see him finish this stage alone. Setting off alone without his consent 16 kilometers from the finish, Kaden Groves resisted and he would become the 114th, 114th rider in history, to have won all three Grand Tours. Seven stages in the Vuelta, two stages in the Giro. And this one, he couldn’t believe his eyes. In tears, Kaden Groves won these twenty stages. It would be a podium for Franck Van Den Broek. And then behind him, Pascal Heenkhoorn who would go for third place. He had worked hard, especially for Valentin Paret-Peintre on the Mont Ventoux stage. He’s going to get a place of honor. Fourth place. The torn jersey is Simone Velasco, just ahead of Romain Grégoire. Jégat is there, the gap is important. An 08 in 4 minutes and 8 seconds. Jégat will be sure to be tenth. It’s a very good one for the Australian and… Oh dear! Definitely, Cofidis for a place of honor, really for a place beyond twelfth place. We’re coming to rub shoulders on the eve of the finish. They’ll be at the same time. And what’s official is that Jordan Jegat will be in the top 10 in the general classification tonight, on the eve of the final stage. Groves, Van den Broke Eenkhoorn, two Dutchmen beaten by an Australian. Romain Grégoire, first Frenchman, fifth. Jordan Jegat made the right move. He finished seventh in the stage, but he should enter the top 10 after the race.

Surely Pogacar is the most doped rider since Armstrong…. How can he get away with it? Tour de France is fraud!
Shame on you for the titles
