Reading lots of good things about Assos GTS bibs, especially for longer distances, but having a hard time comparing. I'm 6ft, 185 lbs and have a bit of a gut. Looking for something that can keep my gut in check (ie. not cut too low) for a streamlined look vs. muffin topping. Assos recommends M size for me.

Anyone have experience deciding between C2 or S11? If it's not Assos I should be looking at, what else?

  1. Assos S11 bibs don’t come up much above your waist. They’re cut low for comfort. For evidence, I’ve worn Assos continuously and exclusively for 15 years and they have the most comfortable chamois and compression of any other brand I’ve worn and returned.

  2. S11 has the least “gut control” of all the bibs I have. Just a very thin piece of fabric. GT/GTS has a bit more.

  3. As a recent owner of an Assos GTS S11 .. You can confidently pass on that if you are looking for some support for your midsection. Its the lowest cut Bibshorts ive ever owned and i probably would have passed myself if i knew it would be that low before. The chamois makes up for it though so im still wearing it.. Gobik is a better option for mid section support. Just be sure you select the version that works best for you. They have a bunch of different designs.
