The last day of our trip to Mayo ending in something relaxing… We will never not be amazed by the history Ireland holds.
As always, we would appreciate your support by giving us a follow, like and make sure your Subscribed to keep up to date with our adventure as we move further down south.
Oh, you’ve arrived. Good morning. Let me know if you need more milk. No, it’s not fair. Somebody snoring last night. Would it was Caroline like you’re a Bollix? Well, everybody, what is the crack? Hope we are keeping well. As you seen, today is the last day of our 3-day bender in Mayo. It’s going to be a nice we short video for you, but I really hope you stick around, watch it, and we will show you what we get up to. Uhhuh. Oh, you are the guard dog. You growing marty dogs. Oh, wow. Good morning. Yeah. Oh, there he is. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Don’t shoot. picture of this being up in the pub twice. Hold on, we need to change the music. There we go. Make it all nice and mysterious. Anyway, this, my friends, is Mo Abbey. As you can see, there is zero road accessibility here. So, you do have to walk across fields. You do have to go through either a gate or over a wall as you just seen. So, make sure you can or you bring extra shoes as well or bring someone who can lift you either way. So, Mine Abby is 560 year old ferry with a church, a tower, well preserved cloysters and that have stayed in incredible condition. If you don’t know Cloysters, it’s kind of just like the walkway on the inside. You will see it as we walk through and it’s just breathtaking. This place was massive and I mean massive. But it was so well looked after. Like the grounds that it was on was all cut. It looked incredible. So, it’s located on the coast of County Mayo. It’s approximately 3 km east of Kalala. Kalala is actually where we were staying in our B&B and it’s 12 km north of Balina. As you see, like I said, she is not accessible by road. So, just keep that in mind. And when you do park outside, you need to make sure you park somewhere decent. Don’t throw your car up to the side. It is still an active road, so don’t be blocking anything. It was founded in 1462 as a Franciscan abbey, but it was burnt later on in 1590 as part of the Protestant Reformation here in Ireland. It is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend if you can get down, get down, have a nosy. But for now, I’ll stop chatting and just let you have a look. She is in some shape, huh? No. Give it a wee wave there, buddy. Okay. Keep going. Oh, Caroline. Daddy. Where are you? Let me out. Where is he? Where are you? That beard, I’m stuck. Where are you? I’m stuck in here. B. Can you get up? Step in. Hello. seems to be his new thing is just waiting until I’m not around and he just runs off. If any of you people have a toddler, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Where are you now? Where is this not incredible? You cannot deny this. It’s not incredible. Now, next up was Rosark Fry, Rossarch Fry, however you want to say it. Um, this road’s not forgiving, and I was being shocked to high hell. But of course, as usual fashion, Mr. GS didn’t even realize there was bumps on the road. But anyway, this is the Ferrari. And just look at where it’s located with the lake behind it and everything. It is stunning. Hi. Happy. We’ll see you at the next one. Those ones that were in the car there, they were actually in front of us in Mo Abbey as well. And then they just got in front of us here at Rossk Ferry too. They probably thought we were freaking follying them, but anyway, this is Russ Ferrari. It is deadly. So, the ferry is considered one of the finest and best preserved of all the Franciscan fies in Ireland. It was founded in 1440, and both Moabi and the ferry here are relatively close to each other. I don’t mean you could walk it, but it’s not that far of a drive at all. Both were allegedly burnt by Sir Richard Bingham, who was the governor of Connet during the reign of Elizabeth the First. Of course, his name was Dick. Don’t worry, I’m nerd. You’re a bitty boy. What you doing up there? I hit your slop. Get down before you fall down. I’m sorry for you today. Ah, but I’m allowed to do it. Folks, again, I know I repeat myself pretty much every video, but this place was class. So, if you do, if you can go, go, go. We don’t show you his crap. We don’t show you things not worth seeing. This is worth seeing. Yes. No. No problem. I’m just thinking about the logistics. If you can’t namely wouldn’t you? I’m good. You’re a bollock. You are. I did not fall. What do you think it is? An antenna. An antenna. Weather. They’re watching television. I think that’s where they needed that for the signal. I know. I’m blonde. Don’t me daddy. I’m not that blonde. And what is it, do you think? know. How am I meant to know? Electric had the electric when they built this, do you think? Isn’t it? Well, you’re on the right track. Electric strike a conductor. Is it that if electric hit the tower, it runs down that conductor? Yeah. And straight into the ground. Just so you understand as well, we were halfway out this lane when we realized the view behind us and we waddled our little asses on the bikes backwards the whole way back to that lake just for that view. So, you’re welcome. That was us. That is finally day three of three completed. She was a long journey home. Actually, it wasn’t too bad to be fair, but it was a long enough journey home. We had an incredible 3 days. is the stuff seems brilliant. If you haven’t seen day one or day two, go do it. Just go have a nosy. Go have a look. Some of the roads that we came across and we stumbled upon were lethal for the bike. Like proper good quality biking roads. Go look. You will not be disappointed. Having a we break. Having a KitKat. We just stopped here in Or is it? Tier Barry. Tobin Bar. Tier Barry. Oh, Bar. Well, there’s an E in it. Okay. And there’s lunch. I don’t know about anyone else, but I never want to go home. I can stay out in the bike forever. But yeah, I hope you enjoyed the video. Um, please give us a we like, subscribe, leave a we comment of where you’re from, just cuz I’m a nosy bitty and I’m just I just I’m curious. The next we jump we’re going to be doing is down around Akal Island and that’s going to be incredible few videos. So stick around for that. As always though, I do hope you enjoyed it. Stay safe, drive safe, and we will see you next time. Bye.
