    My E-bike got stolen😅

    Hi, I’m G Korean living in Germany and my ebike got stolen recently. It happened in southing be careful actually everywhere in Germany. So Tuesdays I go to Dan school in der Gronlandstra I had a class at 6:30. I parked my bicycle in front of the building, went up and 30 minutes later front the sky came to my classroom and asked urgently, wem gehört ein mintgrünes Fahrrad? Da habe ich mich gemeldet und dann meinte er, ja, dein Fahrrad wurde eben gestohlen. And everyone gasped and I ran to the front side, but they were already gone. There were two of them. And that’s how it happened.

      Ich habe auch ein mint grünes EBike 😱. Das tut mir leid,ich hoffe, es war versichert. Macht es nicht besser aber wenigstens hilft es ein wenig finanziell😮‍💨. Aber das Fahrrad direkt vor dem Gebäude zu klauen ist schon echt heftig 😳

      a way to deter thieves:
      – multiple locks one for the front one for the back.
      – ideal is if the locks are two different types because a spontaneous thiev might have not a tool for both.
      – always make sure to lock the main frame from the bike to something not just the front wheel that can be easily left behind.
      – make sure to always lock your bike to something sturdy give bike racks are good shake before theres a new trick where some cut through the pipe of the bike rack cover that line with stickers so to an unsuspecting person it wouldnt be visible. the moment you leave your bike they break it open again and get away with your bike and remove the lock from it elsewhere
      – change locations frequently even when its a place in your daily routine dont use the same place differ here and there some people scout out places before
      – if its an e-bike I heard a lot of people take their akkus with them even if its just a short time because its less appealing to steal an e-bike without the matching akku than one with it there. plus you have a harder time reselling a bike with a missing vital part
      – search for places with lots of foot traffic maybe in front of a kiosk nust station supermarket etc
      – register your bike with the police the frame usually has a serial number and also report the bike stolen for the small chance that your bike might be one that gets found in a raid or something.
      this def isn't fail safe but a lot of bikes get stolen like yours very spontaneous in an blink of an eye the so the more one can do to deter such theives the better 😢
