Was out riding some summer roads/minimum maintenance roads with friends that we’d been on many times before. Winds, a recent dry spell, and farm activity had kicked up so much sand and dust at the bottom of one of the hills that it was impossible to notice a rock that ended up burping my tire at 35 mph. Subsequently washed out and crashed pretty hard, but the only real victim was the helmet. The foam at the back cracked so this thing is toast.

Sucks about the crash, but the helmet did its job & you’re ok. That’s what really matters.

Hope you are ok. With the helmet cracked I would go to a clinic for a concussion assessment just in case.
Check if the manufacturer has a helmet replacement program. I cracked mine on a stupid crash and MET offered me one with a 50% discount. in exchange for the broken helmet.
OP new helmet time. Get one with MIPS they massively reduce chances of concussion. Never skimp on a helmet.
Wear and wash it!
And also avoid planting your face in the ground
