    Stand up as you get to the lip of the jump and focus on popping up.

    Yea that was bad, a lippier jump is gonna wreck you. Honestly it’s very obvious you just started. I’m not the overly cautious type but you should not be jumping yet imo, you need to focus on basics. my first two critiques are about fundamental body position which is gonna apply to all your riding.

    1. It looks like you’re sitting down going into the jump? That’s really really bad. Might just be the angle but, at a minimum your weight is way too far back. Get centered.

    2. Are your pedals level? It’s hard to tell but it looks like the closer pedal to us is lower. Again this is really bad.

    3. Not preloading and popping ie “standing up to the jump”. You rode off a ramp, you never jumped.

    Absolutely stop trying jumps until you can ride your bike standing up with the pedals level. The fact you didn’t die here is incredible.
