Bonjour. It’s day number 24 of my tour to France challenge and today is probably going to be the hardest day I’ve ever done on the bike. It’s the queen stage. It’s stage 18. I’ve got a 9m transfer to ride to Viff and then the stage has three big horse category which is the hardest category of climb you can get mountains. Starting off with colder glandon. Next is colder meline. quite like the name of that like those little meline cake things you get here in France whatever they’re called. Then we finish on cold de la and one thing it won’t be is a lol because it is going to be the biggest climb I’ve ever done to the highest point I’ve ever been and apparently it’s got quite a steep horrible section at the top but one mountain at a time will get through them. I’m going to do probably over 19,000 ft of climbing today. Over 5,000 m. It is just before 5:00 in the A.M. I’ve decided to set off early again because I’ve got 137 mi to do and it’s going to get really hot today. So, plan is little transfer, do the stage, and then I’ve got like a 20 mile transfer to near the start of the next stage, but it’s all downhill. So, that’ll be nice. So, that’ll be a nice end to the day. So, yeah, Kyle’s just getting stuff ready. Not a legend. He’s going to meet me at the top of every climb and maybe ride some of them with me. But anyway, let’s allay. Oh, and just for anyone that wonders, it is Sunday the 20th. I am off and I’m actually feeling really excited about today. I know it’s going to be a tough day. It’s going to get hot. Last night, it was so hot in the apartment. It was like sleeping in a sauna, so I didn’t sleep well. But I’m really excited for the mountains. I love a challenge. And I’m just going to take my time. Doesn’t matter what time I finish tonight and just try and enjoy it as much as I can cuz I don’t get today back. So, let’s do this. Here’s Viff. You probably can’t see that, but there is some decoration on this roundabout. There’s a torn front sign, but it’s pitch black. So, right, I’m in VI now. They’ve got their flag cuz I’m just locating the start point. This is the stage when I planned this that I was like, “Oh, mama mia. This is going to be hard.” But I’m excited. Now, I’ve just messaged Laura, my friend. She’s doing a tap today. That’s the stage I’ll be doing tomorrow. Hey. [Music] some randomness. Go, go, go. Yeah, I am going, mate. Um, and what was I saying? Yeah, I’ve just messaged Laura to say good luck. She’s doing that and then she’s joining us from tomorrow. So, she’s going to be in the car with Kyle. She’s going to ride bits with me. So, that’s going to be really helpful and it’s going to be really nice. So, I’m excited for that. Well, I’m on the official start line. There’s no actual start line drawn on the road here, but this is where there’s a jersey up there. There’s jerseys on the traffic lights. This is where stage 18 starts. 167 no 176 km course with over 18,000 ft not 19,000 so actually hey 1,000 ft less than I thought right anyway no other thing for it than to get on with it because soon I’ll be up in those mountains is beautiful what a beautiful morning the sun’s coming up behind me so this route basically climbs gradually from the start until I get to the base of the first climb Kiglandon and I’ll get to the top of Uh about 47 milesi into my route. For the pros, it’ll be about 41 miles. It was only 6 milesi down to uh Viv this morning. But I’ve just made up a really good song for Kyle. So I’ll be singing that when I get to the top of the first mountain. Where’s all the coals? And one of the ones I’m doing, Cold Glandon, is open. Oh yeah. I’m just making myself I’m just making my way up a 950T climb. a little warm up for what I’ve got to come today. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Thing that’s not gorgeous is that I’ve got a headwind all day today. So, not ideal on a day like today, but nothing I can do about it. So, just got to keep pedaling. Today, average speed is out the window. Nice and slow. Mi Bibliotech. I absolutely love the word Bibliotech. It means library. I just like the word. Well, I was just rolling up for the climb and these lot were there waiting for me. Hey, so I’ve got a group to escort me up which is lovely. Kyle’s at the top. Kyle’s waiting at the top for us. Yeah. Excellent. You can get us some uh some snacks. This is so beautiful. This is lovely Gail. Same bike, Kay. That’s my first bike. The rest of the group have dropped back a bit, but we’re just going to keep going. Just got to go at your own pace of the climb. But wow, this lake, it’s gorgeous. So nice. I’m on the climb now. The others have dropped back and they said just to go cuz just got to go at your own pace. But it’s 21.5 km long. Average gradient 5.5%. So a few steep bits, but a few easier bits. Overall, a nice easy average gradient. and it goes up to just over 1,920 m. So quite high. Let’s go. It’s going to be so beautiful today. I’m excited to get to the top. It just so nice. The last 3k were an average gradient of 10%. So I don’t know where the 5.5% average is, but I’ve not found it yet. It’s a bit tough that bit. Keeping on going. Hello mie. Ah, Chevra must be a goat then cuz it said cheat like goats and goat and cow’s milk or cheese, one or the other. I just had to stop quickly to put a bit of shammy on. I’ve got a little bit of a blister forming which I’m trying to control and not let get any worse. So, hoping it doesn’t get worse, but a lot of shammy butter is needed. Still going up. Nice steep bit. I know why it’s an average of five. It’s because you go down a bit of a descent in the middle and straight up onto another 10% bit. I think there’s another Kyle’s here now, though. There’s another little bit. Car’s at the top, isn’t it? It is. Just going up this bit at the minute. 11%. Done. Kyle, shake that little tushi. Sorry about the back. You got a jacket on. I can’t see your chest from this angle anyway. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Oh, look at the lake, Kyle. Wow. Yeah, we’ll do the song at the top. There’s too much to take in. Look at that. That is gorgeous. Hot damn. That dam’s a hot damn. This is amazing. Incredible. Absolutely amazing. Right, time for the song. We’ll start again. So, it goes Sunday morning, ride my bike time. It is time for stage 18. It’s the Queen stage. It’ll get tough. I think that you kind of know what I mean. Now Kylie, all I do is ride my dogma and look for you. Kyle slept on the floor last night cuz it was hot in the apartment. We’re never going back. Hang on. Just catch a breath. One minute. Um, now I better get on my bike. I’ve got mountains to climb. What’s the climb run now called again? We’re starting off with Glandon and then Maline and eventually I’ll make it to Little and then I’ll eat my body weighting carbs. I was quite happy with that one. It’s a good distraction up the climb. Definitely. I do love making a song up. Well, I can’t take credit for the tune, only the lyrics. 2K left to go. K’s got his jacket off now. I’m zipped up. Don’t worry. We’re not going up the We’re not going up the crop the fur one. I think that goes up even further. Quack up, but we’ve only got 1.9K now, actually. We’re getting up there. Up, moving on. Moving on. I just saw a beaver. I’ve never seen one of them before. I didn’t get it on the camera, but it was down there in the grass. I saw too. Did you? Yeah. It was about here, actually. Really cute. Nearly at the top. Look at this. It’s so nice. Hello there, sheepy. You’re a nice greeting at the top. I love the sound of the bells. Here we are. Kyle, the little cafe is open now. Coffee on order for Kyle. Hey. Hey. 1924 m. Right then, we’re at the top. First things first, it’s time for the sticker and we’re on to the Kyle ones cuz Kyle’s done the climb. So, I’m going on all the big boys. Kyle’s going to the big boys. And also, Kyle’s lost the chassis stickers. I haven’t lost them. You’re going to find them, aren’t you? Yeah. Somewhere like that. Right. Where should we put you then, Kyle? Do you want to come closer up? Where can you put me? Where do you want to be? Uh in the middle. Yeah. Yeah. There you are. Get close to that. Your face is so funny. It’s actually you at the top of M tourisher. It’s quite fitting, man. Loving life. Anyway, seeing as we’re at the first climb of the day, it’s time for the top of the hill. Dance. You ready? Yeah. Hey. Oh, I love it up here. It’s great. I wanted to do hot chocolate. Quite a few trail runs and stuff up here. Yeah, it’ be nice to come running around here actually. Right, let’s go and see if they do a hot chalky. Well, they do that race up Mont Blanc. I couldn’t man I couldn’t imagine that. We’re going to see Mont Blanc today. Let’s go and have a look at the little shop. Carl, we could get a souvenir. Should we sit on this table here? Let’s have a little lookie. Ooh. Oh, car. They’ve got things that palm. Not so keen on a packet one. When you’re in France, you got to have a bakery. Let’s be honest. What else they got? Little stickers. Car bonjour, key rings, magnets, all sorts really. Don’t think I’m not going to have hot chocolate just cuz I don’t want to risk it. Do you see? I think I’ll just have my milkshake. Kyle, I’m just going to have my milkshake. Hot chocolate. No, I don’t want one. I just don’t want to upset my stomach. Winter. Just think I don’t think it’s going to be a nice hot chocolate though. You even see it. It doesn’t even say chocolate. Doesn’t say hot chocolate on there. Anyway, we’ll get a little souvenir. The woman next squishy. Um, right. I think we’ll get a sticker and whatever Kyle wants. What are these? Ooh, they look good. Right, I’ve decided I am having a hot chocolate cuz I need to get the calories in. and my milkshake, too. Right. So, I’ve got my hot chalky. We’re just having a little sit down for a minute. But the lovely lady’s just told us. So, I’m going up there opposite there to mine. And we’ve even got a little mine cake. Meline cake. You take both of them. And then I’m going Can you see? You probably can’t see it on the camera, but in the background just white is Mont Blanc. All right, it’s time to descend. Yeah, Carl, I see you. Are you going to Are you going to climb up a bit the next one with me? See what you can do. That descent was epic, but there was a lot of hair pins. It was very technical. And the woman at the cafe at the top was lovely, but she said, “Be very careful on the descent. if you come off, you’re down the ravine. I was like, “Oh, great.” So, then I was really stressed cuz I was worried that I was going to come off. So, I’m already a slow descender anyway. So, I was definitely snail paced descender. Here we go. It’s cold and madlin time. So, according to mate Gi down here, it’s 5,080 ft, just over 20k long, and average gradient 8%. So, it’s getting hot, going to get sweaty, but I’m ready for it. Hey, hey, thank you so much. Yes, he’s at the top. I see you out there. Amazing. Thank you so much. Wow, it’s so gorgeous. Those people were great. That really spared me on that day. I’ve done 600 ft. 4,400 to go. Try not to think about that. Sounds like a long way. Done over 1,000 feet now. 3,800 to go. I’m using my little mantra. I can and I will. Also, the song I made up the other day. You get through one and we get through another. You keep your head in it and you got this. Me lover. Me lover is what I always say to Laura who’s joining us tomorrow. So, I’m excited for that. 12k to go. Feeling hot now, but got some nice shelter from the trees, so that’s nice. Oh, the women are coming up here, too. Oh, that’s great. Second of August here. I’ll be home by then, watching them on the telly. Look at all the flowers. They’re nice. So, basically, we’re halfway up. Halfway up. That’s a good feeling. Hey, Kyle. I’m halfway up. doing that. You got I’m really enjoying it. I’m in the wrong gear. Sorry. I’m just taking my time kind of enjoying it and I’m telling myself to be positive. No crying today. I can and I will is what I’m saying. 1,460 ft left to go. 6 km or as I like to say, four Maloney to go. Hey, look at this. They’re ready for the tour to come. Woohoo! Ski lift. Come on, mate. Give us a lift. Take me. Take me up. Hey, they got a tour of France thing over there, Kyle, on the building on the Mason toy. 1,200 ft left to go up there somewhere. Get really nice. That was off. Pushing the pace. No drafting allowed. Staying back so we don’t draft him. Oh yeah, yellow jersey. Santini John’s been out. His jersey up. Every time I see a yellow jersey, I think of Santini John. Less than 1,000 ft to go. Yeah, you’re my dude. Oh yeah, Charmer. Criminal. Yeah, you are. Came from down there. Smooth legs. Started from the bottom. Now we’re here. Yeah, I can show you. Just so glad my mind is being positive today. I just keep looking that way. And like no matter how hard it feels. Not that way, Kyle. No matter how hard it feels, you just that just takes it away. It’s just so beautiful. And I just feel so grateful to be here feeling happy in life again and doing this. So anyone that struggles, just keep going. Life gets better no matter how hard it is. I’m not saying like because I can do it, you can do it too. But took a lot of work to get mentally better. A lot of counseling, a lot of riding my bike, a lot of support from this hero. But I’m at a place where I’m happy again. And there’s no price on that. So, I just hope that the money we raise can help people. And I wish that everyone could come here and experience this in real life. It’s so nice. And there’s Kyle being silly. We love you. Well, thanks, mate. That’s lovely. Be proud. Look up. And be proud. Yeah. He said, “Look up. You can’t see it.” Oh, it’s beautiful. That is the thing with climbs like this. Just take it slow and look up and enjoy it. Missy, Missy, 1.9K to go. 430 ft to go. Hey, look at these. Hey, everyone’s ready for the tour to come. Only 4 days to wait till the tours here. Kyle, they’re catching me up. We’re nearly there. Less than a mile to go. We got this. Mhm. So pretty. You’re loving it, Kyle. Yeah. Not stop smiling. Think I’ve won the award for the happiest artist up here today. Yeah. She’s been saying hello to everybody. Here we are. 1K. Woo. 0.2K. Oh yeah, we’re here. Woohoo. Cold and muddy. Look at this little beastro pile. Beautiful. Oh, look at the floor in here. That’s cool. That is a nice feeling. Hallelujah. Is that the sign there? Yeah, Missy. [Music] Is that the sign? Yeah. Woohoo. We did it. There’s lots of people up here. Bling, Nora. What’s going on? There’s old party up here. Hey. Right, it’s time for Kylie’s sticker number two. I didn’t quite look like that on the way up there, did I? No, you were actually smiling on the way up. Crushed bike path. He looks crushed. Look. He does. Right. Where you going? Um, where am I going? Right in the middle of the mala. And get that. There he is. [Music] Hey. Exactly. Hello. Exactly 2,000 m. These people all cheered us up when we got to the top. They draw a picture. Yeah. Go on. I’ll just do me top of the hill dance first. Just a quick top of the hill dance. Hang on. You ready? Yeah. 2,000 m up in the air. Hey, getting a bit unstable there, but you know like a little food market going up here. K. What else is there? Little tradition of this area. There’s loads of car homemade bread as well. Homemade bread over there. Beer over there. Kyle should just get some of these. I don’t know what they are. Have a look. They look nice. Oh, they’re like they’re like donuts. I’m not really like that. These are more my street. Here we go. Oh, fruit cases. Yeah. Look at these. Oh, yes. That is me. Oh, yes. Kyle, one of these. Yeah. Oh, hazelnut. I know what hazelnut is. Do you want one as well? No, I’m okay. You sure? Go on, Kyle. Chocolatey. Right, we’ve rolled down to the car. Mont Blanc in the distance over there. You can just see it in the clouds. And luckily I’ve got pockets in my shorts because don’t lose my sticker. Honestly, these fit in my shorts just about they honestly they’re like bricks. I don’t know what what they actually are. Hang on. Sorry about the angle. They’re like big bricks. Seriously, they’re massive. Honestly, just feel the weight of that and tell me. Does that Does that weigh the amount of a brick you left? Yeah, they’re heavy, aren’t they? They fuel me up. Slightly less than a brick. Well, they’re €4 each, so they better be worth it. I tell you that. This, my friend, is like a taste of heaven. Close. All right. This is such a gorgeous area. Whoa. Your bikes next to where we’re at. Pushing me away. Right. I’m doing descend now. I’m going to eat half of this. I’m saving half of the top of Loz. And that’s going to get me up there. I think cookie, cookie, cookie, cookie, get me up. Doing a handsome. All right, it’s time to descend now. I’ve got a 300 foot climb and a 200 foot climb. Then the biggest climb I’ve ever done in my life. Cold de la. 5,700 ft. 700 ft more than the one I’ve just done. And it’ll be the highest I’ve ever been on my bike. And maybe the most pain I’ve ever been in, but we’ll see. Are you okay? Souvenir. Car’s going up the top to get some souvenirs. And um I’m going to descend now. You’re going to park at the top of the Loz. I will do. And then maybe come down a bit of it. Yes, I’ll do basically what I’ve done all day. I feel like I need to try and be really positive on this next one because my mind’s a little bit negative about it at the minute, but reading into it, too. Yeah, it’s only 700 ft extra. It’s not that much. Exactly. I’d enjoyed that and I’d be happy if that was another 700 ft. Would you? Yeah. Oh wow. I wanted to keep going. It was lovely. Let’s just Let’s just take my time. I want it to keep going up until one blanc. That descent was so fun, but it was quite technical again. I would not want to race down there. There are quite a lot of sharp at the end. There’s like loads of U- bends, switchbacks as they call them, and quite a lot of corners at the top with no barriers. So, you’re going fast down there and you come off, you wouldn’t be good. Right. So, we’re at the base of the climb. I’m feeling a little bit nervous and a bit I don’t know, mentally unstable, I’d say. But, I know I can get up there. So, just got to be positive. Just come across this. This is what I’m doing. So, I’m going to be going up 234 m, 26.5 too long, 1,750 m to climb. Maximum gradient 16.5%. Oh, great. An average hang on. No different. Oh, hang on a minute. Which one am I going up? Cuz that one’s max 23%. And it’s 7.64. I think I might be doing that one, you know. Oh jeez. Either way, I’m going up to the top and I’ve got no choice but to get up there. So, I’m going that way. I’ve just Googled it. I’m doing the Corbel side. So, 16.5% max apparently. Let’s go. Right. According to my Garmi, the climb has started. 26.5 km, 5,700 ft to climb. Let’s go. I’m going to try and stay positive. I’m going to try not to cry. I just stood just just I just sent my sister a voice message. I do that with my sisters quite a lot. And I was tearing up a bit. So I said, “Amy, come on. It’s only a mountain. Get over it.” That’s what I’m doing. Keep going. Just got to try and stay positive. If I need to stop, I can stop, eat my snacks, and keep going. And Kyle’s going to come down soon, and he’ll be with me. Wow, it’s so beautiful. So, so beautiful. I’m 4 miles down. Don’t have a clue how much elevation I’ve done or how much I’ve got left. I’m not looking. I’ve turned my screen just onto the map like that. So, I’d rather just not know right now. Just take it in. Try and enjoy it. It really is beautiful. Just going through covel. So I’m definitely on the right side of the mountain. Little ski place in the winter I think. I think I’ve got about 11 miles left to go. So just got to keep going. It’s all I can do. Keep eating little sugary snacks. Give my legs the energy and I’ll be up there before I know it. So beautiful. It’s taking the tiredness away. Looking up there. Feels like I’ve got a long way to go. Still got just under 10 miles, but I’m trying to stay positive. I know I can do it. I can and I will. Just got to keep going. Just keep pedaling. As Dory would say, just keep swimming. Instead, just keep paddling. I’ve just come across these three fellas. Huh? Coming up the climb for me. Yeah. Yeah. Hey. From the West, Kent. Woohoo. Down. Yeah. So, you thought you’d do the biggest climb? Yeah. Thank you. Oh, you you need some encouragement. Yeah. So, we’ll do what we can. Thank you so much. That’s all right. You’re doing great. Thank you. And you fund raise is unbelievable. I can’t believe it really. Yeah, it’s crazy. Yeah. Kyle’s just gone flying past the other shouting meal worm. He shouted me worm to me. K will be coming in a minute. Meal worm. Hey, that’s just what I needed. A bit of encouragement. So grateful for people coming out. It really does make a difference. Little lake. Oh, well, it gives me that chat right now. Sat in my duck chair, eating snacks, and enjoying the view. Instead, I’m eating my handlebars. No, I’m not really. I’m not going fast. I’m just All I can do is take it steady, really. Wait for Kyle to get Where is he? Probably up down there with those fellas having a whale of a time. I should have stayed with them really, but Oh, no. Wrong gear again. Hang on a minute. Hang on. The thing is I just like getting in a rhythm on a climb and I just want to get get up there and get it done. But hopefully I’ll see them at the top and hopefully Carl will come cuz he’s got me some snacks and some water. So pretty Rolex. Oh my little traffic light stop on the climb. Got five miles to go. Still no signs of Kyle, but hopefully he’ll be here in a minute. Oh, Ali. I can see a fine beast of a stallion. It’s Kylie. He’s coming. I can see his helmet coming. He’s nearly got me. Wow. You all right? Oh, that was an effort, was it? Yeah. I don’t think you realize, but we stopped twice. Did you? for about five minutes each time. Oh no. They were great those men though they weren’t they? Yeah. Well, probably not five minutes. Few minutes. Yeah. But it’s about it. Thanks for coming up to me. That was a big effort to get back to you. Well done, bonjour chick. I say chicken in there. Kool-. No, that’s a that’s chicken. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It’s a chicken that’s real. And it’s chicken out. We went the wrong way past the chicken. You have to turn around and come back this way. Yeah, maybe that’s Czech van sport grid, is it? Yeah. Oh, this is nice. Ah, that’s probably why the sat bought you the other way if this road wasn’t allowed for cars. Is it? Yeah, cuz it’s blocked off, isn’t it? Off road. He is off the road. Jeez. No, it’s off road. No, it’s not. It’s a road I came down. No, it’s not. Yes, it is. I can see on my map that that’s not the road, Kyle. That’s off road. Seriously, that’s Oh, yeah, it is actually. Yeah, exactly. So, who’s right now? There’s people coming off road down there really fast. This is probably the most beautiful climb I’ve ever done. It’s up there. I think it’s amazing. Just as I was saying it was beautiful. It kicked up a level. Gee whiz. Not nice. Wow. Oh, mommy. We’ve got 4K left to go. I know it gets harder at the top. Not even 4K. But I’m okay on her. Amy, you got about 3k. 3k. And it doesn’t get that hard. Become far worse. Okay. I just know it gets really steep at the top. I’m just All I was doing was giving you a bit of notice. Yeah. That it gets harder than what it was like that. Okay. And you got up there. Okay. Yeah. Well, I know it’s harder than that cuz I know it’s 16%. And that was 13. Oh, the other way. The other detail was like 24%. You can do it. I’m not letting my mind defeat me today. My legs have got it. My mind needs to get in it. Get through one, get through another. Get your head. Speaking of those boats I was riding with. Yeah. And he just went, you’re just rolling so smooth. I know it’s going to be a challenge to the top. And this is the hardest ride I’ve ever done. Apart from when I Everested and I’m thinking of Hatch now. Hatch is a lovely guy. He’s donated so much money and he evered up here. So if he can do that, then I can get up here once. Legend. He’s a legend. But yeah, get hard. So what? Yeah, those things get hard. You give the shiny. We just get on with it. Get on with it. It’s not as hard as what I’ve been through in my head. And that bridge. It’s not as hard as what people go through. You struggle and that’s why I’m doing this. So come on, Amy. You’ve been through worse than this. Worth it. Let’s go for it. I’m just going to look up. Just going to look up. Think of that in feeling. It’s all going to be to all the friends. Imagine racing up here. Jeez. So they’re going to be the crows must be nicking after us. This is going to be horrible. It is going to be horrid after they’re going to go full gas. I’m surprised some of them don’t collapse. Probably would 2.6k to go. That is nice. That’s a nice look. 2.6k. That is nothing. Come on, Amy. You got this. One mile to go. Come on, Amy. One mile. That’s it. Got it. Hey Kyle, it’s you. The bear. One. No, the bear. Didn’t even see that. The grizzly. Hello, mate. One mile, please. Come on. 1.1k to go. Hey, we’re going up there. Steep bit to finish. We got this, aren’t we, Kyle? Meal worm. Yeah, we got it. I wish I was a meal worm right now. Just being I don’t know what they do, but being eaten by a beard. Probably. Do you know what I always think of when we say we’ve got 1k left? Yeah, that climb that we absolutely went for in Malaga. Oh yeah. And that was over a K. Yeah. And we went nailed on that. We can do it. Come on. Fully pine cones. I’ve just seen the top car. That is steep with a capital S. No. Masuki. Don’t worry. It’s not as going to be as bad as hard knot. Hey, it’s not as bad as Hard Not. Not even 1K now. Just look at the mountains. If I can get Look at the mountains and breathe. Come on, Amy. Come on, ladies. Yeah. Yeah. Dig deep. Dig deep. Remember why we’re doing this. This is not as hard as what I’ve been through in my head. I’d rather do this a million times over than go through that mental health stuff again. I’ve seen you suffer and I’ll suffer more doing this. Yeah. Come on. I’ll take that any day. Oh, 50 m. 50 m to go. That last bit of the burner. Oh yes, we did it Kyle. Yeah. Hallelum. Woo. Queen stage. Queen stage done, Kyle. Five days to go. Hardest day ever on the bike. We made it. 2,34 m up. That’s the highest I’ve ever been on the bike. Biggest climb I’ve ever done. I had one little moment on the way up into Kyle. The fly on the microphone. Back that thing away. It’s all It’s gone now. It’s on the front of the microphone. Oh, there we go. There we go. Um, but we made it and I’m really so happy. You all right? Yeah. Feel like it’s landing. It’s a bit rocky to the top of the hill, Dan. So, a bit worried about falling over. So, I might do it over there by the other side. Okay. But I’ll just stick your sticker on, Kyle. Yeah. I’m salting everywhere. Look at the salt on my shorts. Do you want to do a closer for this? Yeah. Where do you want to go? I’m really upset you’ve lost the chest stickers, Kyle. Can you Where do you want? Have you found the chest? Look for them tomorrow. Okay. I’m just so happy to be up here. Honestly, there was a moment up there when I thought I don’t know if I can do this, but I thought mind over the matter, my friend. There you are. Car right in the middle. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. There it is. There you are. The proof. The proof is in the sticker. Yeah. Go on then. Right. Let’s go through the sign top of the hill dance and then 20 m down. Honestly, I’m just so happy to be up here. Eat it. Oh, get off me, little Mitch. A lot of flies up here. Kyle would have said didn’t think flies would be able to survive up here in the altitude. They’re out. They’ve got big lungs. Anyway, I’ve been dreaming of enjoying when I bought this cookie on the top of the other mountain. So, I’m going to eat half now and half at the end. And I’ve been dreaming of this and I’m here. I’m sure food tastes better when like you’ve done a big ride. Do you know what I mean? Cuz you’ve been thinking about it all from that market. Honestly, when I planned this challenge and I looked at this route, I thought that is going to be hell. But actually, it has been really hard, but I’ve love I’ve really enjoyed today. I thought this probably one of my favorite days on the bike because it was hard, but it’s just so beautiful. Yeah. And like I think because of the fact it’s just three big climbs. You’re not going up down up down up down all the time. Little climbs. It’s just one big climb descent. Fresh legs. You for that route. Yeah. Compared to some of the peak ones, I’d say. If I hadn’t been riding for the last 24 days, I’d probably be a lot better about it. But got 20 mi to go now. Rolling down. And then tomorrow morning, we’re actually staying tonight right near where Laura is. She’s on a campsite. Hopefully she’s finished attack by now and she’s all good. You’re picking up in the morning, aren’t you? Yeah. And then tomorrow I’ll be doing the stage Laura did today. And I saw Laura’s mate up here before. Stage 19 tomorrow. Now that’s good. Right, we’ve moved over to the second sign. Time for the top of the hill dance at the highest point I’ve ever been on the bike. Now I’ve not got me bike to hold, so it might not be the best. My legs are a bit shaky, so let’s do this. Hey, I missed the click, but I don’t give a scooby because I’ve done the queen stage. Five days to go. Ow. Getting bitten by gnats. Nat off. Does that mean Look at it. First rev the tour to France on. Does that mean it was the first arrived? No, I think it’s as in like the first ever stage this place has held in from 2020. Maybe. Or is it the first time the tour came up here? I think it’s the first time ever came up in 2020. I don’t know. But good luck to the pros. I tell you that is going to be one hard finish to that stage. I’m looking forward to watching it to be honest, but I wouldn’t want to be a pro racing up there. No way. When when the route came out, was this the one that was they were saying it’s hardest one? His hardest line. Yeah. Well, it is the queen stage, so it makes sense. But and you’ve done glandon stink. And then this. Yeah. Right. Maybe Well, hello there freaky looking mountain goats. Oh, I’m nearly done now. It’s literally like one or two miles to their accommodation. all downhill. So, it was lovely. I’m just really happy that the toughest day is done and um yeah, relieved. But I I really did love it. It was so beautiful. Oh, what a day. Wow. That’s day 24. Ding-dang done. Queen stage, hardest stage of the whole thing done. Ride stats for you. 136.66 mi, which is 219.93 km. going up 18,389 ft, which is 5,64.97 m. My bum was in the saddle for 11 hours, 53 minutes, and 10 seconds, and my average speed was 11.5 mph. Speed went out the window today. It was all about survival. And what I did survive is missing the storm, which is brewing out there. We’ve got the windows open because yet again, we’ve got no air con and I’m dripping in sweat. No air con last night either. No, it’s made a massive difference. It’s becoming a joke. Anyway, although today was hard, I absolutely loved it. We’ve got £45,000 raise for the charity. So, thank you so much to everyone that’s donated. 5 days to go. I’ve got my last mountain stage tomorrow. Then another stage up here and then it’s the long transfer to Parry. Road captain, do you want to give us a rundown of tomorrow? Here you are. Let me just put me uh your road captain hat on. Yeah, my leader’s cap. Go on then. Ruby sponsor. We just demolished some dinner by the way. Yeah. Sorry, I’ve not actually moved because I’m a little bit worn out today. I actually did ride most parts of Fre Mountain today. You did? So, tomorrow day 25. So, tomorrow. Did I say I’ve just done day 25? I don’t know. It’s day 25. You just done day 24. You said that to me today, I think. I know. It’s day 25 tomorrow. Day 25 tomorrow. Yeah. So, you’ve got the uh the attack stage. Can I have a look? Which is what’s happened today. Stage what? So it’s stage 20, is it? No, 19. Thank you. Correct. Oh, yeah. Not stage 20, obviously. So, yeah, this has happened today, which is why the mountains we were on weren’t too busy, were they? So, you got the pros, the second cat, a first cat, then you’ve got the colder prey, a horse category. Horse category. Yeah, a cat. I said cat two. And then you finish on llange. A horse category. Horse category that goes up 250 m. Great. 250 m. 2,50 m. You just said 250. I was thinking that’s that’s my brain today. Yeah. Yeah. But we do have someone else join us tomorrow. Yeah. So Laura is joining us tomorrow. She actually did the stage I’m doing tomorrow today. So that’s really nice. And tomorrow I’ve got less mileage. I’ve just got a little transfer to the start like 8 miles and then after the stage 20 m. So it’s going to be 117 mile day. 32. Not too bad. I’m going to have a bit of a line tomorrow. I’m going to have a line till half 5. I’m going to set off at half six. So, today you did 138 and you’ve got 117. Yeah. 20 mi less and less elevation. Although it’s still very hilly, but you know, be all right. All I can do is pedal. Anyway, thank you so much for watching. TT’s the FN Teta for now. Goodbye. Kyle, have you got a joke to finish up? Is he sensing every day? Oh, great. get this every day. Oh no. Uh hold on. It won’t let me get off this message for some reason. Here we go. Right. Let me just find him. You just take belong. Here we go. Number 22. I’ve got two actually. One. What should you marry someone? Why should you marry someone older than you? Um because they’ll die first and get the inheritance. As your looks fade, so will their eyesight. That’s all. Hopefully your eyesight start going die first. You get the inheritance. That’s what I said. Yeah, I know. I don’t know why I said that. The biggest mountains are always tired. Apparently, they don’t have rest. Oh jeez. Right. Well, on that note, it’s time to say goodbye. Goodbye.

23:50 "So I said Amy, come on, it's only a mountain" – the biggest understatement to 99.9% of us watching 🤨
Enjoyed how there was a 'PAIN' sign right behind your shoulder at that moment, leaving it behind… although a baguette de poulet probably would've gone down a treat right there! 🥖
Wow that's some awesome views! You and Kyle were smashing it!
Think you saw a Marmot rather than a Beaver! 😂
You are amazing Amy! All these miles and still dropping everybody that joins you. And still have the lungs to bust out a song! And that was a good one too! Don’t forget that one!
Utterly incredible Amy!!! Huge well done , what a ride!!! 👏👏👏
What an awesome achievement you two are doing. But I have a question regarding the route. Even though you did Ventoux, would you like to have done Alpe D’Huez?
The views are truly stunning!!
And you, Amy, are even more admirable! Kyle is absolutely fantastic and doing an amazing job of supporting you (better than I could ever do if I was in his place: he's a better man than me)
Hi Amy Kyle you are smashing it so proud of you both fantastic work Amy you should be so happy to smash the hills you can do this .can and I will .love your videos.go Amy go ☀️🚴🫶🏻
Couldn't help laughing when you said "I stink!" so vehemently, at 36:40
That's bloody incredible. But at the same time I knew you'll do it. Smash the remaining stages. You've got this!
33:06 What a beautiful view!! Great job Amy👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Amy, Queen of the Queen stage!🏆👈
Has the altitude been challenging? I climbed up to 5,000 ft during a race and was suffering. I live at sea level though.
You are responding with such joy. Being your best self
👍
its summer now
winter is coming
this will be good entertainment
Oh one for Kyle…"I just bought a tent for half price, so I'm going to sleep in it all winter … It's going to be my winter of discount tent" 😂
I hope you continue doing your daily videos after this trip. I’ve started watching your first ever videos. You guys are so funny and so inspiring. Not far to go now! Keep peddling….you are amazing and Kyle is a legend.
Ps I did mont ventoux on ROUVY, took me over two hours but I mealwormed my way up…16 weeks into my cycling fitness journey. I will get faster..no pain no gain, but with cycling the pain stays the same you just roll faster and gain more power. lol xx
What a pair of legends both of you. Such congratulations. Amy you’re inspiring me to enjoy hills more and your creeping in to my rides in saying ‘milone’s’. I’m also binge watching your channel from the start and I’m up to & just finished watching your PBP a year ago. Such an inspiration 🙌🏻❤️
This ride deserves a donation! Well done and congratulations 🎉
Absolutely amazing effort Amy, keep going… Top DS & Swanny work Kyle… Chapeau to you both 👍
Can't beat seeing a beaver on a climb 😮
More Congratulations Amy I saw on Cade Media that you were talking with Emily and you were starting that ridiculous last 515 trainster to Paris stage start
A word of warning for the last stage through Paris I sure one or two of roads/streets they go the wrong on one way streets ( like in the Olympics RR )!you may have to diviate around
well done doing well
bonjour very beautiful amy, it was my favourite stage so far too, the views amazing. When I think of the tour and france I think of these mountains and landscape. Something about it is just unique. I love the sides of the mountains where the roads wind through and sheep and goats live.
What a beautiful, inspiring and uplifting person you are. Always feel better after watching your video series
Just absolutely amazing Amy! I hope you are, justifiably, proud of your MAHOOSIVE achievement. Just amazing. This is the best TDF I have ever seen, the scenery is Amazeballs. Makes you realise how much the Pros are missing out!
Inspiring.
I did Col de Madeleine last night in Zwift and I was done in by the top. I have no idea how you are doing this day after day. You are both amazing, keep going 💪💪
Hi Amy & Kyle – my favourite stage so far, bucket list stuff for me! I have absolutely LOVED watching your adventure. The whole thing has been the highlight of my day every day 🥰 keep going your doing great! Xx
I haven't watch all of these, but didn't you say that you would switch to metric in an early episode?
Great performance again Amy. Dealt with your demons very well..with a bit of help from Kyle.
Well done Amy and Kyle. I've got more respect for you than all the 'pro peloton' put together. You can't beat good honest hard work and a positive attitude. Keep smiling both of you.
Just get on the case kid. You’re doing fine and have it sorted. Only think positive now and stop that glass half full chat.
What dinner plate gearing do you have or are you a machine
Best of luck on the ride.
(I wonder why I never chaff when riding a bike? I’ve been riding over half a century and never had a blister yet…)
Well done Amy…almost done. Are you going to write a book / diary about your adventures?
Another incredible day's ride and effort by you both.
I think it's really healthy, and important, that you are sharing those moments you are having a little bit of wobble as this sort of ride requires an extraordinary amount of endurance, strength, and effort both physically and mentally that, most of the time, you are making look easy!. Sharing those moments of doubt only to gee yourself up and conquer yet another mountain is genuinely inspiring. I think we can all use a little bit of "I can, and I will!".
Looking forward to your final few days riding!
NOT the highest stage of the TDF 2025, the highest stage in TDF HISTORY!! 🥳
Hey Miss Amy you are amaaaaaaaaazing – fantastic charity as your goal, fantastic attitude, fantastic support crew, really nice to see all the amazing views on these tdf routes without the crowds. Well done you ❤
..you sure it was a beaver on the glandon..?… it would probably have been a marmotte…
