When the Berlin Wall fell in 1989 the Iron Curtain ceased to exist and Soviet control over a large part of Europe dissolved.
Podia has teamed up with Czech framemaker Festka to put together a group of cyclists who were interested in exploring these parts of Europe. We aren’t just interested in finding the perfect roads, but instead what happened in the past and how this can inform the future.
[Music] little [Music] lot of parts here was 40 years close because there was the military base but since this it’s there is no industry uh just a pure um country and it’s a lot of small roads for uh Road cycling and gra mountain bikes and cyc so for me is this region like cycling Paradise [Music] [Music] of uh strong Czech Riders live here or has a cottage here Roman lives in this C place [Music]
