I have a 2019 Endurace CF SL Disc 8.0 Aero Di2 with Mavic Ksyrium Pro Carbon UST Disc wheelset.

Canyon says that the max tire width for the frame is 31mm but I'm wondering ig any of you happen to push the limits. If so, what size and brand of a tire?

I know the wheel width is also a factor which is something else I need to sort out. I believe Mavic is saying a max of 32mm for the wheels.

Thanks!

  1. I’m running a 32mm GP5000 on my grizl since I mostly ride on roads.

(The endurace is quite close in geometry and I heard it often on the topic of light gravel) <– wrong

I still dont have any issues with riding some gravel here and there or traversing through grass to get to a bike path etc.

    It’s mostly up to skill

  2. I do use my Ultimate for light gravel. If handling skills are good enough, no problem with the Endurace.

  3. I have exactly the same bike but with Reynolds Wheels and run 32mm GP5000. Works fine for light gravel.

Depends on how light you mean. I tried 35mm tires on my Endurace for gravel riding. Not fun at all. Maybe I am spoiled by mountain bike with full suspension.
