I can see myself as a Wonderer, but my Home is always in one Place…
Yesterday I arrived in uh Salsburg. I slept in some camp there and uh I was driving maybe 15 60 kilometers. Today I made around uh I think 40 until now a little bit less and uh I think that I have around 80. Maybe I will do it today, but doesn’t matter. It’s lovely day and definitely different different vibe than in uh Bavaria and uh Switzerland. Better for me. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] In central and north part of uh Germany, people would say mo to each other which mean hello south Germany, Switzerland and here people would say uh Zeros here in Austria. They would also say to each other grow important moment here. I will start start to follow Ural 6. I just left Linds. The city is somewhere there behind Austria of course. And I will follow this trail next to the Danube to the end where river kiss black sea and first contact with Danube open space. I love it. Denub is even here huge around 25 kilometers away from lints. Vienna is still far. Short story about day before yesterday. I still was in Germany in Bavaria and uh around 2200s kilometers away from uh Salsburg which is on the border in Austria. Yeah. plan plan was uh of course to drive and that’s 200 km is always more uh when you drive bike it uh I needed probably for that 3 days. Uh but I decided to jump by train. I found really cheap uh uh ticket and for my bike everything together around4 to Ssburg from that village where I slept. Uh I decided to do that because uh last 10 days were all the time rainy and rainy and I’m always I was always wet and I just was uh worried about my health. So yeah, I just didn’t want to risk anymore and uh all the time people there are so greedy. I mean, paying 2030 per night just to sleep for one tent, it’s absolutely unacceptable. I just didn’t want to give them chance to steal from me anymore. That’s Bavaria. That’s Switzerland. But that’s the best. I left them behind. I was too long in that part. And uh yeah, now I have beautiful fletch area. I’m driving uh on trail 6 as I said and I will follow river. I’ll just follow the river. So many beautiful uh places I will going to see big small towns, cities, villages, uh forests, mountains, who knows several countries are in front of me. I and I hope I will going to meet some cycle travelers. This is a famous route. Everybody who wants to travel by bike and tent quite long. This is the route. And yeah, important moment is uh that I can uh sleep next to the river. Oh, finally freedom. It’s uh in Germany that’s forbidden and you need to pay those camps. It’s uh it’s it’s annoying. Even if I pay here, it’s much cheaper. It’s like normal price something like €10. It’s possible more depends of camps, but uh like some normal price €10 is acceptable. In France, I paid all of them between five and 15. Okay, they have those with four stars, for example, and they have so many things. That’s cool. €25, but you don’t need to go there. You have just normal camp, just place where you going, you will going to sleep. And uh that’s how it will going to go in next days, weeks, I don’t know. Yesterday it was uh beautiful day for driving. Uh huh. A little bit hard in the beginning. Then mostly fletch and going easy down. Uh mountains were behind me and uh panonia in front of me. So yeah, it was quite nice and I uh did the 131 km with that was quite quite a lot. Um I spent all my energy then I took a couple beers in camp. I used camp yesterday and uh some girls from Germany, four of them arrived just jumped in next to my tent where I just wanted to be alone drinking beer and chilling out and yeah I cannot without without Germans obviously. So in the beginning it was quite interesting but after that quite annoying. They’re from east. Those girls from East Germany [ __ ] pictures all that time behind me speaking with Germans about my adventure. actually wasn’t speaking about adventure. They always have same questions and all those questions are questions are about money. Who going to pay? How you going to pay? How you going to work? What’s about your job? What about your apartment? Ah, [ __ ] boring questions about money. That’s all they care. Money and security. In Germany and Oster official officially named for this river is Dunal. Dunaval in Serbia and Croat. Everything goes so easy today. Vienna is in front of me. So uh during the day I will decide will I going to sleep somewhere next to the river and uh go there uh tomorrow in the morning and spend a couple hours and go on or I will just going to today drive through. I don’t know. It’s a big city. So, but I’m going so fast and uh I believe I have time. Let’s see. Doesn’t matter. This isn’t This is the wrong direction. Yeah, I should go there. Hi. I said so many times I love driving next to the rivers and channels. So here those uh pictograms are quite good here in Austria. But this is easy. Just follow the river kill. I am buckets. I cannot just go out into the blue. You’re also doubs it’s out there. The world is out there out of comfort zone. Mostly people live uh somehow the same some predictable lives all their lives like a hobbit in Shia. There is no need to change, no need to experience something else. Spend the evening uh in uh in the city. Slept there in some camp next to the this road Eurov 6. Oh couple beers. Uh I met you one guy at the end. Uh local guy Patrick. Uh we spoke little [ __ ] He is nice and cool guy. Hard to understand. It’s uh for me local German it’s different. That is ah just different that what I learn in West Germany. But easier than understand people from Switzerland. Vienna is really something special. So multicultur so loud beautiful place people are beautiful so open friendly I don’t see separation between nations and uh cultures uh it’s very obviously in Germany Hey, those ghettos. I didn’t have that feeling here in Vienna. Everybody can be whatever she or he wants. That’s real thing. And nobody pay attention. Awesome, isn’t it? Uh plan for today to leave uh Austria, jump into Slovakia, a couple hours in Bratislaw and uh to jump after that in Hungary. [Applause] [Applause] still open and still windy. border is uh somewhere in front of me between uh Slovakia and uh Hungary. I’m driving 10 kilometers like this. No place to sit, to eat. It’s crazy. Still in Slovakia, not far away from Hungary. Dunovar somewhere in central Hungaria. Brutalism of Soviet period. Domination of power industry. So depressive. This uh industrial zone from that period is extremely big from both sides. [Music] Anyway, I left Balaton. I spent uh day before yesterday. Uh I made one day a break there. Two nights in some really nice camp. I met some uh cool guys. It was it was nice nice time. Yesterday I arrived again uh on the coast of Denub Eurov 6. Actually soon in couple couple kilometers I will be on that trail and uh I’m going to the border between uh uh Hungary, Serbia and Croatia. Probably I will be uh somewhere there at the end of today. But let’s see. I expect one enjoyable day by a river. [Applause] There is something uh new age. Probably some part of this zone are just restoated and uh yeah, some of it works. officially 6. I think I have done with the good trails. I just started uh the week number five. In last four I made 2,2 kilometers uh 20 24 days driving, 4 days rest. The best moments are uh those you don’t expect. Uh I finished last night uh last day last week uh in uh in the camp next to the next to the river. This is uh south Hungary actually. And uh that camp is free. Those places exist in this state with electricity like every other car. every other camp just open and uh free. Next to the next to that place, it’s uh some restaurant and uh host. I arrived quarter to 7:00 in the evening. They are they were they closed at 7:00 and they were quite open and friendly to let me drink my beer uh after close time and uh enjoying my beer uh uh watching sunset next to the river next to the denure. And uh I met after that a couple from Germany. They are traveling by foot to to Greece. And uh they were also very nice. Offered me 1 hour uh uh talking time and one beer. So yeah, it was really pleasant experience and evening and uh yeah, they offered me also uh shower. They are alone in a in hostel. Everything was like uh uh I couldn’t imagine better. I just had lucky that I finished uh traveling uh day yesterday on that spot. It’s just coincidence. This day, this morning, this week, I started also lovely in the village. I just wanted to start traveling driving with the after coffee because there is nothing uh from the from my start to buy a place it’s like 30 40 km so I’m not sure there is nothing it’s everything is like this and uh I met one guy in front of church I was driver I was driving around he was uh he saw that I need something and he offered me his help. I just said I need coffee and okay he he he brought me there uh to the place where I can uh buy coffee but uh there was possible to pay only in foreign but I don’t have them just euros and cards. I’m just passing through uh states and I just don’t know use local money. Uh that girl she works there very nice and uh her boyfriend they just found solution he paid for me he offered that and uh I’m so grateful it’s not expensive like euro and half but they’re young they’re like student age and probably don’t have money So, oh what can can I say good people around me last time last night and this morning I don’t expect anything less uh this day just love and beauty By a Oh.
