I spent the day in Chamonix, France, which is one of the most beautiful cities in the Alps. It’s known for skiing, but it is beautiful in the summer and fall. There are loads of things to do here other than ski. If you visit France, you should definitely visit Chamonix!

[Music] [Music] [Music] a [Music] today I am in shamoni which is a ski town it’s got beautiful mountains it’s a miracle like out here I had to take two trains on a bus and for one of the trains I thought I was going to need a reservation which I couldn’t get but then I found a bus and I asked the guy does this bus go to Shone and he said yes I said do I buy tickets on the bus he said no tickets just got on the bus like okay and so I got here it’s pretty awesome so I’m going to take a cable car up to the top and then see what else I can do today Tak to [Music] meet [Music] you [Music] it’s a glacier and I’m going to take the steps up there there’s actually people hiking the plan is to go up there that’s called stepping into the void can’t wait to do that the Air’s very thin up here so it’s hard to breathe VI was just spectacular okay so I severely underestimated how cold it would be up here I’m only fool wearing shorts but it’s actually not so bad now the sun’s out but it was really cold getting up here the ride up here was amazing the second part was all just a cable no Towers in between so it’s very steep your TR of heights might not want to do it but it’s so worth it and it is expensive €75 to get up here which is quite pricey but figure it’s once in a lifetime thing so I’m headed up [Music] there this is L glacia theel where the busel sure steep this one’s the steepest one in the [Applause] Els ity over there Grand Park Italy over [Music] there that’s where I was earlier up here Shan there well it’s over an hour wait to get in there so I’m going to get the similar experience right here I don’t think it’s worth waiting that [Music] long [Music] [Applause] [Music] he [Music] there’s a plane lower than us how cool is [Music] that [Music] AI was fantastic one of the top five views I’ve ever seen in my life everywhere there was mountains there was Villages down below Rivers fantastic my only two words of advice would be it is very expensive €75 per person which is a lot but I think it was worth it and dress warmly it’s way colder up there than I thought it was I layered up and I was good on top the other thing is expect to spend about an hour up at the top of mon Blanc unless you’re going to do the step into the void then expect to spend an extra hour cuz it’s super crowded and a lot of people waiting I didn’t think it was worth it cuz you’re waiting for an over over an hour for something that’s going to take 30 seconds I just didn’t think it was worth it but maybe you would that’s your choice now headed to Mar de glass which is supposed to be another amazing site here looking forward to seeing [Music] it [Music] once again we have spectacular views this is the top of the train I just took up to mve and this waterfalls [Music] this waterfall starts way up here at the glacier down [Music] here another one there’s a gondola here that takes you to down to where the glacier is and then you can walk through the glacier they have tunnel dug through it they dig new ones every year but unfortunately it’s closed for the season it closed September 18th and I’m here on September 27th so I missed it which is a total bummer but wa our vacation next time I’m going to come here during the summer so I can see it the views up here are still spectacular so apparently this Glacier goes back 11 kilm and it used to be 300 M higher than it is right now which gu saw it said it was a sea of ice which in French is mail the glass which is an gler mail the [Music] glass but it’s shrinking just like all the other glaciers unfortunately [Music] yeah [Music] so the mill the glass was awesome we’ve been a lot better if I was able to actually go into the glacier but they did give me discounts I couldn’t so it was worth it views were spectacular again so I’m going to walk around the town a little bit see what I can see and then uh maybe get a beer but this is a beautiful town and beautiful setting definitely want to come back here and do some hikes cuz seems like there be a lot of good hiking here it’s beautiful too they got flers everywhere all of bridges so nice and of course we got [Music] this [Music] overall I found Shaman to be just a spectacular City so beautiful so many things to do especially if you’re into the outdoors but even if you’re not there’s still plenty to do there so I would highly recommend it to anybody one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to

You elected not to use a paraglider to get back to town from the mountain. Maybe next time.
If you had to pick one, which one did you like better? Aiguille du Midi or Mer de Glace ?
