Nice gesture giving the kid a bottle BUT the biggest issue with Remco is that he consideres himself as two times olympic champion. He could have stayed for the team/with the team that is build around him and maybe fight for stage wins but he rather quits, because he would not be top 3 in GC.

I remember being in a race with chronic IBS i passed a village they gave me such loving cheers i got from 15 km/h to 40km/h just because of the crowd love..then after the village back to 20km/h .i never gave up all the way to the finish..every support car that passed my mind said get in there…i fought that till the finish
