Is the Tactic on the Specialized website the same as the Tactic 4 reviewed by Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings? I think I need a large, round fit but that configuration is only sold online for the sale price on Specialized's website as the Tactic that I can find.

I think they are the same. I bought that exact helmet based on that exact site based on what I am assuming was Seth’s video as well.
It is a great helmet, the only weird thing is they advertise how the visor does not block any of your eye line. I get that sometimes the visor can be annoying on some helmets in certain situations .. but isn’t the whole point of a visor to block the sun from your eyes?? I find that the visor is purely cosmetic which is not the end of the world but I find it a bit odd.
In any case, yes I believe the helmet you are buying is very safe and will be a good purchase.
