First flat of my life so I have no frame of reference. I successfully got a new tube in and this seems like a death trap at this point but someone please let me know if this is somehow ok to leave.
Personally I wouldn’t ride it anymore, splits like that have a habit of opening up more with pressure and use.
If you desperately need to use the bike you can probably run a lower tyre pressure and keep to slow speeds, but thats very much a temporary measure.
Its like using a stick as a splint for a broken leg, its just to get you home, not a long term or safe solution

I have ridden on similar and will do again. I can’t afford to get a new $50-$60 dollar tire every single time one gets cut.
Park Tool Tire Boot: TB2. Slap a tire boot on the inside and it will be fine, speaking from experience.

Continental gatorhardshell 28c been using it for a while now 💪💪💪
Put a tire boot on the inside and superglue to stitch it together on the outside.
