We flew to France with our bikes to catch the Tour de France and ride some epic mountain roads 🇫🇷🚴‍♂️

In this first episode, we land in Toulouse, head to Campan, and start building up the bikes… but Luke’s bike had other plans 😅 Luckily, the legends at Octave bike shop came through and got him rolling again.

We still manage to squeeze in a hot, hilly ride to kick things off — no Tour de France action just yet, but it’s coming next episode. For now, it’s all about getting settled, fixing bikes, and soaking up the Pyrenees.

Gingers aren’t designed for this kind of heat. Hello. Just in the van with Max and Paddyy. How we feeling, lads? Excited. Apprehensive. That sounds melancholy. Are you excited? I’m very excited. Yeah. Looking forward to it. What are you most excited for, Josh? The trip to France. What are you excited for? I can’t wait to get dropped again. I’m loving it at the minute. This is the A46. One of my favorite junctions here coming up on the left hand side. I actually do like the A46. You do like the You do the What do you like about the A46? The bit after Newark where it’s really nice and open and wise. Let’s go. Textbook parking in perfect. Well done, Luke. So, we’re just about to board the flight. Bikes on the plane, though, so that’s hopefully [Music] Just waiting for the bike to turn up in the luggage. Welcome to Saloo. Good morning. We’ve arrived in Campan Saluke’s having a little bit of an issue with his headset of bolts snapped. So, we’re just on the way now to see if we can get it sorted at a local bike shop. Hopefully, we get that sorted and we’ll get riding today. We’ve got quite a tasty ride to start off with. So, looking forward to it. [Music] Now the shop. Luke’s fixed his bike, mate. How you feel about that, mate? I’m so happy. I was myself then. Um, yeah. So, they found a secondhand expansion thing and they managed to get the bolt out of that and use it on my bike basically. So, yeah, very lucky. Uh, shout out what what was the place called? Like Mison Octave or something. I’ve taken a quick a quick shot of the shop. So, yeah, I’ll link it in the bio, but yeah, great great little place. Nearly ready to go. Just getting the van now, getting the kit on, getting the bikes, and let’s uh let’s go. We’re ready to go. Ready to go, lads? So ready. [Music] Halfway up the first climb of the day. The boys have dropped me. Everyone’s looking super strong. I think it’s going to be a long week. Just enjoying the scenery. It’s fantastic as it’s a tour to France. There’s so many camper vans set up. And what a view. Look at this. Wow. [Music] Oh my god. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] How’s that taste? Great. Fresh. Mountain. Fresh. Fresh. Sure. Fantastic. 10. Feels great to be in France. Um, I’m going to give an eight and a half. I think no plate. [Music] [Applause] Second big climb of the day. Here it is. That’s a bad boy. 10.4 km. 8.3% average. Yeah, we’ve got about 40 minutes left of this one. Still into me own groove. One thing I can say about today is it’s very hot. I am feeling a little bit under the weather. We’ll still try to enjoy it. Let’s go. [Music] Only a mile to go. Not long now. Not long now. Hot and bothered. Let’s go. We’re there. Made it. Was hard work that one. was lie. Was [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Yeah. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I think the handles. How was that? Yeah, that was hard. Gingers aren’t designed for this kind of heat, to be honest. I was feeling good for the first two, but that last one um Yeah, killed me. How was that? Very hot. Beautiful egg. Absolutely cooking on there. I fried egg. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Donkeys in the road. [Music] How many cars can you get? [Music] Hello, mate. What’s going on? Got a serious bite on my uh hairless chest. Flew in the jersey. Stung me. So,
