Suntour ARX rear derailer, 6 speed free wheel, 7 speed Shimano RevoShift…..
I know the speeds don't match but previously with a different RD it worked fine….
The issue is that on the up shifts (easier gears) it requires a lot of hand force to twist the shifter…. It indexes fine though aside from that and the downshifts (harder gear) feels good.
And the H limit screw (hardest gear ) is being a bit finicky, set in the stand it doesn't drop the chain then ride it and now the chain drops…..
Thoughts? Thanks

Did you replace the cable and housing?
Non indexed derailleur, with non indexed freewheel and the max tooth for the ARX is like 28t. I’m surprised anything indexed on that freewheel.
Oh boy, you have a mishmash of parts here, with a lot of potential problems. An indexed twist grip Shimano shifter, a Suntour rear derailleur that might be pre- indexed shifting, and a six speed freewheel that might be the wide spacing between cogs, instead of “ultra” spacing which is the same as 7 speed freewheels.
The pull ratios of the shifter and derailleur may not match, the spacing of the freewheel cogs probably isn’t right, and there’s a bunch of friction in the cabling making the shifts difficult.
A seven speed freewheel would help with the cog spacing problem, a compatible Shimano derailleur would work better with the shifter, and some fresh cable housing, a new cable and some lubricant.
“Speeds” are meaningless. What matters is the amount of cable pull and the angle of the slant-parallelogram designed into the rear derailleur which corresponds to that pull. This derailleur pre-dates both of those technologies, it is intended only for use with friction drivetrains. It will absolutely never shift well with a RevoShift or any other indexed shifter, no matter what you try.
