Chain keeps jumping when i put the new chainring on (40t Deckas which was brand new) but the stock alivio was 40t aswell and i didnt encounter any problems with it, right now im using a 50t on the deore m5100 crank with the same chain but i didnt encounter the same problem ( my chain is the CN-HG901-11
DURA ACE,XTR)
Anyone know why this happens?(repost cuz i forgot to add a video)

Chain is ‘stretched’. It didn’t happen with the old chainring ‘cos that would’ve been worn out too
May be a very bad chain line. A look from behind could clear up the situation of the chain line
It could be from the chainrings being misaligned or mounted backwards on the crankarm spider. It could also be because you need the nudging action of the FDR.
1. Amazon bike parts arent always to spec. Chainring might have slightly off spacing or other manufacturing defect.
2. Equally likely that your chain is worn. Chains need replaced more often than cassettes.
Looks like either your chainring is very deformed, or your chain is severely stretched. Is the chain new too? How many miles does the chain have on it, if it’s not new?
Is the quicklink closed properly?
Had the exact same issue with a defective quicklink which did not snap in correctly.
You probably have the wrong size chain, there are several sizes with a different number of links AND different size links and you have to match the chain to your stays.
New chainring and too old.of a chain. Replace chain and rear cassette alao.
If that big chainring is doing this then that chain should have been replaced like 20-30 000 km ago.
If its not that, try spining the pedals but qith chain in the middle.of cassete
I had a Deckas Chainring before, Mine had a Big Wobble, looks like yours has the same problem in a little diffrent angle
