Another couple of days off to explore & enjoy North Devon.
What a fantastic day out! 🚴♂️✨
Today we hired electric hybrid bikes from Tarka Cycle Hire and set off on a 30-mile round trip adventure from Barnstaple, weaving past Farmington.
The ride was smooth and scenic, with a lovely stop for morning coffee at Instow.
We continued along the beautiful trail, soaking up the views, riding past Biddeford, enjoyed the views of Appledore , through Land cross and past Weare, all the way to the Puffing Billy Cafe at Torrington, before heading back.
The trail is beautiful, the ride was smooth (thanks to those e-bikes!), and the coffee stops made it perfect.
Highly recommend this route for anyone looking for a blend of fresh air, gentle exercise, and great local spots to refuel.

Where are we off today drive? Today we’re off to Barn Stable. I’m going to hire a bike to go on the target trail. Oh, this is a great little route. Yeah, we got about I don’t know 15 miles to go. Uhoh, chain’s come off. Ever so peaceful. This is a great little cycle. There he goes. Here she comes. We’ve took the stabilizers off and she’s away. And we got a lovely day fruit as well. There’s me cycling buddy. That is so pretty. Oh, we’re in in still now looking across at Apple door. How pretty. Sorry. Starting another flight suite now. Oh, it’s been glorious. It really has. It’s a really pretty route. Nice little stop in Fington now.
