It’s a 2017 Sirrus sport size XL. I recently test rode a large size of the 2025 x 2.0 and it felt okay so I’m thinking an XL should be fine. This would be my first bike that wasn’t originally purchased from Walmart or target. Up until recently I’ve always traveled by car. I would mainly use this for commuting < 5 miles but want the option to go on longer rides when the mood strikes.

Looks ideal as a low maintenance commuter at that price. I’d still test ride if unsure over the size though.

  2. What sort of surface is your commute? Do you go off road at all or is it all paved?

Looks like an excellent commuter. I moved on to single speed but rode a similar setup for 15 years.

Depends how worn the drive chain is. Check that the gears and chain work properly.

The difference between a large and XL is pretty substantial. It’s better to shop around than to get a bike that doesn’t fit just cause it’s there. Go to the shop and test ride an XL so you don’t feel pressured to buy it at the marketplace sale/waste their time

Price is right as long as everything’s in working order

Hard to tell from the photo- are the tires new? Thats a good price if it doesn’t need tires or chain and sprockets.

Get full fenders for it. You will want these for a commuter bike. It’s really nice to not get whatever mystery fluids you ride through sprayed on your clothes.
