You have to unweight the back wheel, aka lean forward.

Locking up the wheels and leaning forward should be an almost simultaneous pair of actions, then if you are trying to stop quickly you can shift your weight backwards or sling the rear wheel to the side.

If you want to skid for distance you just lean farther forward.

place you bodies center of gravity further up and unload the rear tire, try not to go fully over the bars tho!

  3. Put your ball sack on your bars and lean forward or archer back I mean both lean forward and archer back so you’re back and head goes straight up with your hips forward and then lock your legs straight back whichever way you want your crank left or right forward

Lock your knees and lean forward at the same time. You should feel the gear lock and the tire slide. Have fun but be safe. You have to pedal into it while going maybe 8-10mph and use your momentum. Then just hop off the leaning forward position with your knee locks and sit back down and pedal like normal.

  5. Wear a helmet. 😉 But yeah, balls-to-stem. Practicing on gravel maybe more productive, or grass (which also sucks less to fall onto).

Lean forward, push back with your right foot at 3 o’clock and pull up with your left

Balls to the stem, lean forward, upper body over bars and both legs bent at the knees to lock up with pedals at about 1 and 7.

Lean forward, put all your weight on the front wheel. Practicing on gravel allows you to do it at a slower speed so you can get a feel for the mechanics of it.

  9. All the biomechanical and speed things others have been saying, but also a lighter ratio would make it easier

Lean a a bit more forward each time you do it. The weight is more towards the back which would make it harder to skid
