In the (probably endless) search for the next bike, I stumbled upon some pretty nice deals.
I came across a 2022 Kona Cinder Cone at about 660usd.

I also found a local bike brand, Cello XC30, at 820usd. There’s a Polygon Trid too, totally different style of bike, at 1115usd.
Trying to figure out which bike gives the best fun, I guess, for my buck.

Cello XC30 (820usd):
– 7061 Alu frame, 15in.
– 26in wheels (Alex XC44)
– Fox 32 RL forks, QR, tapered headtube
– Deore groupset
What I really like about this is the spec. It’s 15in which is small on me, but if it means I can do tricks on it, I can deal with that. I wonder if this 7061 frame will stand up to anything like that?

Kona Cinder Cone (660usd):
– Rockshox Judy forks- 27.5 in wheels
– Deore groupset
This is a better price, and a better fit. I wonder how well it would handle being thrown around. Another choice is the Polygon Xtrada 7 but this is cheaper, has the same Deore groupset, and has a better fork.

Polygon Trid (1115usd):
– X Fusion Slant forks-
26in wheels
– It’s a DJ bike
This suits my riding style well, and it’s closer to the bikes I’ve owned in the past (BMX, jump, and trials). I’m probably not going to ride DJ on this, but street and park, yes. I could enjoy this, but I will probably want to do the odd trail and XC, and maybe even a 10-15 mile ride sometimes. If it can be set up to be barely passable for that, it’s a strong contender.

– I’m in South Korea, so Cello is a local Korean brand. It does limit the choice of bikes a lot 🙁
– I currently have a BMX, but it’s not so user friendly aside from learning tricks.
