Never had my photo taken while in my cycling gear before and when I saw this I about died. I’m only 6’1″ and I’m wearing Assos medium size which is their recommended size. But it looks like i’m wearing a child’s bib?

  2. They are a bit too short, but it is not like you are wearing someone else’s bib shorts. I have a very good pair of bib shorts that are also a bit too short but I couldn’t care less tbh. I paid a lot for those.

  3. I think the tightness is a bigger problem than the length tbh. The baggier profile of the jersey doesn’t really match & makes the shorts look incredibly skinny in comparison.

  4. As a 6’1” male, I had a pair of Assos bibs and had this realization. I now try to buy long versions.

  5. I just got a pair of these shorts and my first thought was “oh, they’re a more traditional length cut”. Once upon a time this was standard. Shorts have gotten longer, but these aren’t too short. Just a different cut. It seems like this pair is pretty short relative to the rest of their line too

Bibs look fine – I prefer the slightly shorter, not all the way down to the knee cap cut of Assos. The jersey looks like it’s just the wrong fit. Torso is very loose, but your biceps are just squeezed in.

Most of my bibs are this short. Being skinny, tall and having long legs makes it kind of difficult.

They come in different lengths. If you like them, then they are the right length.

Yes. Bibs a bit too short. Don’t have to be to the knee tho’. A few inches above. Jersey too big.

Are you tall? My assos also looks the same way, as my legs are very long.

  11. Bibs fine, Jersey far too big

We won’t talk about the shoes, socks jersey colour combo

From current “trend” yes (and the socks could be longer), but who cares.

If it feels good and comfortable when riding, it doesn’t really matter. One might say that your jersey could be tighter too but again, if it’s comfortable, then it doesn’t matter.

  13. The bibs are too short only if the bottom is binding around your quads, for example.

Or if you think that’s not the tanline you’re going for. 😎

The jersey looks like it might be tight on your arms. It’s one of those touring fabrics, right? A while back after I’d been swimming for about a year I had to give away some jerseys like that because they were too tight around my biceps. Maybe look for a jersey with a little more elastic fabric. That helped me.

PS: LeCol is having a spring/summer sale right now. Deporvillage is a good source of bargains on even high-end brands.

  14. I have these assos bibs aswel, I prefer the shorter length over longer ones that sit right above the knee
