Yeah, problem is already in the title.

Additional information: rear derailleur is about a year old and I just serviced it today (as well as recorded the video you see above). Now before anyone anyone says "ohhh you should service it." I just serviced it today. I also record that video just a few hours later. Additionally, the lever should lock into place, as so to prevent that from happening. Probably. I'm saying should, because this one doesn't do that.

So, what's the verdict?
Can I somehow fix that without getting new parts?
If I have to get new parts, should I only replace the clutch mechanism or the derailleur as a whole?

Another thing I want answered how that even happens.
That's all
Cheers

  1. What bike is this, where are you riding and what sort of abuse are you putting it through?

You said you serviced it and then rode it and recorded this video? What sort of service did you do? You apparently know the clutch can be replaced, do you know how to make the adjust to the clutch or have the tools to do so?

  2. Not enough tension on clutch because lever doors not stay locked? Did the clutch clutched after service?

Can you tighten the clutch a bit more. The arm is held in place by friction.

I bet you put clutch cam wrong way in. I did it once and leaver didn’t lock properly and clutch didn’t work .
