Another interesting features is the chainstay design, resembles the Diamond Back Ridge Runner or Bianchi Grizzle The frame kinda reminds me of an early/mid-80s Specialized Stumpjumper, especially the star-lugged bottle mounts, but the fork isn’t right. Overall I’d say a ~1983 MTB of some kind. Most/all road bikes of this era had indexed downtube shifters and this doesn’t have the mounts for those.
