I think many of you would have already picked up Richard was a member of the wi Club somewhere in the uh mid 1960s he informed me this afternoon that he was first of all in the South B Road well we’re going to forgive him for that he did at least have good sense to join the Wickham and for a while he had quite an impact on the wi some of his contempor at the time they could been here today Steve Wilson being one Nick stacer being another it was a time when there’s a lot of comad a lot of good racing amongst fellow members at the time um but Richard had a particular passion for racing on a tandom and he did persuade one of two members of the club to join him one of which was Ray where’s Ray where are you right over here and in 1973 Ryan Richard set the first Tandon men’s national competition record for 25 miles and think was 5258 correct
