Good morning. It’s day 13. So, last night I was looking for a campsite along the Clyde and Fourth Canal and nothing felt safe. There were It’s a Saturday night. too many people were out partying and every time I found a place with like a campsite, it looked like homeless people had been hanging out there and there was a lot of garbage. So, I ended up getting a really nice um room through Booking.com um at a place that’s just right off of the path. And the people are really nice and they uh greeted me with a beer in the garden. And so, um, it’s now, um, it’s raining this morning and so I’m waiting on it to stop. It’s almost 9:00 and I’m going to go grab some breakfast and try to get through Glasgow before it’ll it wakes up. Since it’s a Sunday, I’m hoping that traffic will not be too bad and I can get to the other side of Glasgow um, without too much of a problem. Um, so that’s that’s my plan for today is to continue going southwest to the coast and hopefully I’ll set myself up to where tomorrow I’ll be in Kieran Ryan and uh can catch a ferry. We’ll see. Good morning again. So I uh I’m almost finished almost through Glasgow. Got just a few more miles. I’m kind of in the suburbs now, but I had a nice ride through town, mostly on bike paths, and I was able to stop in to the O2 phone store and top off my UK plan, which was good. So, it should get me uh phone service for the next couple of months, even if I’m in the EU. And um so yeah, it’s kind of a rainy, blustery day and it it started raining so I uh decided to pull in here at a gas station and have a little snack. I’ve been seeing these I guess it’s hule like fuel but hule meal replacement. So, I’m uh trying one of them and then uh yeah, I uh um hoping the rain will pass soon. The forecast looks like it’s going to and then I will um be riding again. But until then, I’m just going to enjoy sitting here on the curb at the gas station. All right. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Well, the rain rain has finally passed. I’m here in Kil Maruk and uh it’s a beautiful little area. I don’t know if you can see the the mural on the wall. And I picked me up some uh Chinese noodles from the noodle bar, Chinese takeout over there. So, I got me some spicy vegetable noodles. And so, I’m going to eat this. This will be an early dinner. It’s like 4:30 and then continue on. I’ve ridden about 27 miles. Not very far because I kept having to stop because of the rain. But um now it looks pretty nice. So hopefully I’ll be able to make it to the coast before um before I stop for the evening. So anyway, for now I’m going to enjoy my early dinner. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Well, it was a tough start to the day with rain and headwinds. and uh just busy roads. But it um it got much better as the day went on. And I ended here next to the coast in air. And uh I’m camping kind of up there in the shadows of the Grenan Castle, which was built in the late 1500s, early 1600s. I think it was completed in6003 and um apparently the man named John Kennedy lived there. Um so anyhow, beautiful spot, great campsite tonight. It’ll be good to be back in my tent after sleeping in a bed for three nights in a row. I’ve missed my tent and missed being out in the fresh air. Um, so yes, I went about 43 miles today, a little over. And so that was what I needed to do in order to set me up tomorrow to get to the town where I can catch the ferry to um, Northern Ireland, to Belfast. So that’s what I’ll be doing tomorrow. The name of the place that I’m going to is Kieran Ryan. Uh so, um that’s the plan. I’m looking forward to sleeping in my tent tonight. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] Heat. [Music] Heat.
