The adventure sports community is mourning the loss of Andrea Stenelli, a celebrated extreme mountain biker known for his breathtaking, gravitydeying rides in the Doommites of South Tyrroll, Italy. Stanelli, 48, passed away on July 15th following a fall as reported by Italian media outlet Elunata. Stanelli was riding solo in the rugged mountains of Fonga above Valgardina when the incident occurred. He had set out in the morning and when he didn’t return by evening, concerned friends alerted authorities. A search was launched and his body was discovered by an Ayat Alpen helicopter crew at 1:00 a.m. at the base of a steep ravine. Recovery efforts were completed later that day.
